- it is difficult to stay emotionally uninvolved in a case like this, but policemen have a job to do
- the theory in his book is not 'his' - it is of the entire team
- theory is based on facts and testimonies
- end of september: the investigation produces a report that is based on the accident & concealment of cadaver thesis
- it is not normal for the ambassador to come to the algarve and follow the investigation; the consul would have been normal, and he already was in the algarve
- GA recognising that the police was conditioned by political influence, and that is something that should never happen again
- spokesman (Mitchell) came directly out of the UK's prime minister cabinet
- interviewer criticising Olegario de Sousa - GA defends that he was well
- process opens on Monday - other books will appear - important things will appear - a former colleague told him, one or two weeks ago, that it is only now that the investigation is really starting
- collection of forensic evidence right in the early days, for example fingerprint collection, was not up to the usual standards
- not everything is in the book, many dialogues, and the dialogues in the book do not identify who is 'speaking'
- GA says he could have gone further but there are respect issues
- spokesman (Mitchell) has issued threats - has defamed GA - British journalists already have the book - soon to be published in the UK
- archiving awaiting for better evidence is not a declaration of innocence and may be reopened - lifting arguido status does not mean process is finished
- citizens have the obligation to make justice function - manifestations of solidarity have come from the most various quarters
- he is a Benfica fan

There can't be many countries where they won't be recognised instantly! The stink that's brewing will, hopefully, follow - if they are allowed to get away in the first place! :dont know:
