Mijas child abuser arrested

MIJAS - A MAN was arrested last week by the Guardia Civil in Mijas for allegedly abusing his partner’s seven-year-old son. The child’s teachers noticed that he had injuries that would not have been caused by normal child’s play. They alerted the headmaster, who took the child to the local health centre, where their suspicions were confirmed, the Guardia Civil were called and an investigation begun. The child was taken back to school as normal, and when his mother came to pick him up, two Guardia Civil officers were waiting for her. After speaking to her and the child, they found that it was her partner who had been beating him.
