Hillsborough Disaster Anniversary.........

The Hillsborough Disaster was a human crush that occurred on 15 April 1989 at Hillsborough, a football stadium, the home of Sheffield Wednesday F.C. in Sheffield, England, resulting in the deaths of 96 football fans.It was an FA Cup semi final between Liverpool FC and Nottingham Forest.The tragedy unfolded at the Leppings Lane end of the ground involving the Liverpool fans.

I see lots of very young people on there, fourteen/fifteen. How awful to say goodbye to a son or daughter going off to do something like watch a football match, and hear that they have been caught up in something so horrifying as that crush of people and they're not going to walk back through the door.

I see there are people who share a surname and I would guess that at least some of them are family members. An afternoon out to share a good shout for your own team ends on the ground and never walking back out of that stadium. What a sad sad day for so many people.
