Garry Mann loses appeal for extradtion

On the news this afternoon, Garry Mann convicted of hooliganism in Portugal has lost his appeal at the European court, to stop extradition to serve his sentence in Portugal.

He claims he is an innocent victim of poor justice in Portugal, we've heard that before, but since I don't know precise details of the case obviously I can't comment further.

However, if it came to pass at some point the Mccanns are charged for some 'crime' in Portugal, then extradition could be likely, as I doubt they or their friends would go voluntarily.

It does show though, the European justice system can be applied from country to country, and that could be crucial in the future.

Presumably, there will now be more Portuguese bashing in the UK tabloid press.After all, how dare Johnny Foreigner dare try to extradite a UK citizen.
