The case of Marybeth Tinning
This case has interested me ever since I came across a book on it about 20 years ago.

It's believed that between 1972 and 1985 she killed eight of her nine children. She was apparently okay until the death of her third child within a few days of the birth. Then it seemed that she became addicted to the attention and sympathy that such an event brings and, within a few weeks, her first two children died suddenly. Over the next 13 years five more natural children and one adopted boy all went the same way.
