Thoings seem to be going very fast on forum recently

I agree I can barely keep up - but I hope this is a sign that more and more people are reading, writing and wondering what reason was that the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance ended up being shelved by the Portuguese Police - i.e. The non-co-operation of the McCanns and T7 to return to participate in a reconstruction. The more people read and query things the better.

Usual spin from the Sun and co. But it is interesting just how much negative stuff is being left on, ie. The comments on the Daily Mail are almost nearly all antis. Loose women on Facebook had literally thousands of anti comments, they have since been removed though.

Yes Hiheho, your viewing says it all, all your hard work in paying off it shows people are thinking for them selves now, I can't believe the traffic on FB and Twitter, even the gullible are questioning the greedy child neglecting McCanns they are finished, they have seriously over egged the pudding, even on loose women they more or less said that the McCanns should stfu, enough is enough sick of seeing your faces. Its right they are not the only ones who have (supposedly) lost a child.

Im surprised that the Met FB page has allowed such alot of negative comments on there, there is over a thousand on there, wonder if its been done so they can test the water, if so the McCanns are in the s**t

I find it a very positive move for them to open a Facebook page...even more positive that they are not removing posts.

I believe that, regardless of the impression they have given, they are searching for the truth. There is a reason they made the appeal to the public and it may not have been about abductors, there may be information about the McCann's holiday time period that they needed to know about and this was the only way. (as well as show 'support' for the McCanns to avoid being accused of looking at one scenario when the tide turns.

Yes, HiDeHo, I'm in agreement - SY have to take great care not to be seen to be overtly pursuing Healy & McCann.

It certainly was an odd few days, last week, with all the TV appearances and what-not, but not everyone swallowed the bungling, biased cops line.

What other way would they have to get more info on the 'Holiday' period than to appeal to people who think they would be helping the McCanns and sending in their photos that they felt may be unrelated to an abduction, but would give the police more info about the comings and goings of the McCanns (as well as their clothes)

What could be wrong with sending a photo of Thursday high tea showing the McCanns with 'Madeleine' (or maybe not) and what day she was seen wearing the little pink outfit seen at the pool on Thursday (or maybe not.)

Those people want to help the McCanns and may have been reticent to do so if they felt the police were anything but supportive.

Thy are top cops for a reason.

Yes, I think that too.

After all, the 'leads' that the media report turn out to have been followed up by the PJ back before the case was shelved, and found to be as much use as an ashtray on a bike.

It was our own dear British police (LP) that were remiss on passing on information etc.
