Interesting indeed........why report such a non story, American child's death from 13 years ago...........

It still leaves the question.....who was abusing her long before she was murdered?



There was evidence that she was abused.

Yes, I've heard that too. There's no doubt in my mind that the parents were involved (possibly with others) but it's a mystery why they left the body in their own house.

The same thing applies if an intruder was responsible. Why leave a ransom note and then not take the child?

I saw a Documentary on this while both Parents were alive. They said they were hounded by the Boulder Police and resdents which forced them to move. They were adamant that they were innocent and there was mention of a teenage Cousin who was a fairly regular visitor to the House . It could have been him who knew what the alarm code was and had an accomplice.

I don't have much time for those Parents who enter their chilren , dressed like adults, to take part in these Pageants. Admittedly JonBenet was very pretty but you have to wonder what she would have been like as an adult.

There does seem to be evidence (real evidence!) to link him to the crime. His associate, who is still at large, is thought to have committed another crime in the months after JonBenet was killed. If you watch the videos, especially part 3, the evidence is set out.

ETA: In part 2, prints are compared of boots. The suspect had a pair of boots that exactly matched prints left at the scene, including bits of fabric in the grooves of the boots. Part 3 dog hairs from the breed of dogs owned by suspect and his suspected accomplice.

This documentary was made about ten years ago. It makes you wonder whether this guy is still at large,possibly having escaped over the border. After they found the DNA in 2008, you'd think they'd have him by now if he were still in the USA.

I definitely think the evidence against him is pretty compelling, and I do believe he killed his accomplice.

I shudder to think how close that other little girl came to meeting the same fate as JoneBenet.

Odd that the Grand Jury voted to indict the parents but the prosecutors did not proceed. I've always thought the parents were involved at least in covering up for their son. The mother told investigators that their son was sleeping when she phoned police, but his voice can be heard in the background of the tape which recorded the phone call. Within a very short time of the murder the parents hired a high profile lawyer AND a PR firm. The mother claimed she had gone to bed the previous night but at six o'clock in the morning when the the child was reported "missing", she was still wearing her Christmas outfit (from the party the night before) and was in full makeup. It always sounded to me that she had been up all night writing the 'ransom letter' and planning the coverup.

But surely that would make Burke her brother
only nine! I find that too unrealistic to heed.
A child killing a child?

Two years previously he'd slugged her in the face with a golf club.
It was passed off as an accident.

Not that I'm accusing JonBenet's brother though.

A team of top defense attorneys took the case of Cristian Fernandes pro bono. Public Defender Matt Shirk withdrew as the attorney for the 13 year-old who is on trial for the murder of his two year old brother and the sexual assault of another brother.

A year ago, Cristian Fernandez, 13 is accused of brutally beating his two year old half-brother to death. He has also been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting another sibling when he was 11, even though the five year old recanted his story

Cristian was charged as an adult and is awaiting trial in Duval County, Florida where he has been held for over 19 months. According to WTSP, Fernandez is the youngest inmate awaiting trial.

On March, 2011, Fernandez’s two year-old brother David died from a fractured skull and bleeding brain at the local hospital. His death initiated the response of police officers to the home. Biannela Susana, the kid’s mother spoke with investigators.

Susana informed the police that even though he had broken David’s leg just two weeks earlier, she left the two boys and a third sibling at home alone. When she returned home, she found David “unconscious”.

Having watched the videos, I agree about the evidence being compelling. DNA that didn't belong to any of the family; the bootprint that matched the murdered suspect's boot down to fibres caught in the grooves, dog hairs. Unless the missing suspect's DNA gets onto the system somehow, I guess he won't be found if he has perhaps gone to Mexico. It appears from the evidence that the parents had nothing to do with it.

There may be two reasons why it was left where she was murdered.


1....the person was not able to get her out off the house because she was too heavy or..

2....they were in shock and either didn't have time to get her out or didn't want her dumped just 'anywhere'



I can't believe 2 people got Into the house and murdered her there, surely they would off taken her elsewhere for fear off getting caught.


Something just doesn't sit right in this case.

No, I will never forget Bulger's killers, but their crime,
as terrible as it was, was childlike in execution, no
real intent to do it the 'adult' way.
With JonBenet's murder it was so ghastly and so ritual
it required fully grown adults to over-come and to abuse
the child in ways not another child would do.
Especially not her brother.

He looks evil doesn't he....
