I think its about time ,that the councils took responability ,for those who will never be able to buy a house and start to build homes again . Why should anyone who has got more than one house ,have to be ones to rent out ,and whats more ,doing it on the cheap .Ofcourse some would be happy to privately pay a cheap rent ,but that's not the point really .there are some homes to be bilt without the bricks and time it takes ,have watched about the type can be put together and are fine . its been a problem for long time now ... joyce1938

I absolutely agree joyce1938, but this would entail councils re-accepting their responsibilites that they discarded years ago when Housing Associations took over much of the public housing in the UK. But again they have shed many of their duties under bye laws which they themselves have created. Garbage disposal is now sorted by the public although this is still included in the rates charged by councils. What happens to the monies collected that would otherwise be spent on services?
