Maureen, a grandmother-of-four, writes that she was ‘reduced to tears’ by visions of Madeleine McCann, who appeared to her soon after she went missing in Portugal about four years ago.

“For about a week I was aware of this small child standing near by bed, and naturally I began to ask questions about who she was,” she writes.

The name ‘Madeleine’ came through strongly to her, she says, and when she asked where she was the girl kept talking about Portugal and water, showing her a deep well and repeating the name of one particular person.

is this psychic saying madeleine is dead?
is she being unhelpful?

Unless children can live in deep wells, I think that's the general thrust here.

Could be just trying to make a dime off this story... but what the heck, check the wells... and old disused mine shafts... didn't they do that already though very early on in the search?

Very interesting. Early on I had a dream about a deep shaft on the hill where the McCanns rented the villa. The shaft had an outlet to the sea, which was covered by a grille and snagged on the inside of the grille was a piece of Madeleine's clothing, which was red.

Seems Maureen is making out that Maddy is dead, she said she came to her at her bed a week after she went missing....

Bet this will be removed by tomorrow, Carter Ruck will be on overtime tonight!!!

Several people seem to have dreamt about her, she is somehow dead in these visions as she appears as a ghost (to her mother) or on a slab (her mother again) or we dream of her resting place or place of disposal (my dream of her in a duffel bag on a rocky hillside, this deep well, Anna's dream, etc). Even though I believe that she died May 3rd, 2007 I think of her when I am awake as if she is alive because if she is dead there is no Madeleine McCann. There's just skeletal remains. I guess that is normal, when I think of my grandmother I don't think of her grave I think of her as when she was alive, of course I know that she is buried in the family plot just like she wanted to be, after having a service with the music and readings she picked out,including the Crossing of the Bar - "may there be no moaning of the bar when I put out to sea" - she loved Tennyson and it was an instruction that we were to let her go, easier to do if you know the person is dead and was laid to rest with dignity, I never dreamt of her coming to me or anything related to her grave.

I think it bothers people in their subconscious mind, as dead people should have a resting place, and some kind of acknowledgment that they have "crossed the bar" -that has been something we have understood and needed since cave man days. of course if they are missing and the body not found it nags at you, more so with a young child who should still be alive, this isn't normal. We keep seeing her as a 3 year old and being told to look for her - even in the tabloid photos today, no reward mentioned and no age progression photos.

it's like we are being asked to look for someone who literally vanished as a person 4 years ago, with no aging, we can't find the 3 year old, she doesn't exist, apart from as a brand for the Madeleine Campaign and Fund - we are being asked to Search for something that doesn't exist, either because she is 8 or because she is in whatever state in the spirit world. Of the odd thiings about this campaign the lack of any reality around the Search really stands out. No idea she was taken or by whom yet it revolves around digging up info on pedophiles - not a Search for her, alive, as she would be today, with the proper procedures you would put in place if you had millions to do that, nor for a resting place, and certainly not for an investigation into what happened May 3rd.

Whwn I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it was Maudlin from the DX. A rabid pro sidekick of Rosie, with a nasty gob on her and a whole repository of tall tales. Her child got killed, her husband got murdered in front of her, all sorts of stories, she was a one-woman walking crime scene all on her own, if everything was to be believed. She had poor old Jenny Murat implicated as well - saying that she was the one who probably sedated Madeleine because she was a nurse. Ten-to-one that the "name repeated over and over" is Robert Murat's. It's all attention seeking rubbish IMHO.
