Farrah Fawcett RIP
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1181297/Farrah-Fawcett-pictured-hospital-bed-Heart-rending-documentary-shows-early-stages-Angels-cancer-battle.html

Intimate scenes of Farrah Fawcett's fight against cancer have been released.
The images show her journey over the last 18 months of a battle against what has become terminal cancer.
She was happy to film the moving footage of her lying in her hospital bed and dressed in a hospital gown as she undergoes treatment.
The pictures are taken from a documentary, Farrah's Story, which is due to be screened in the U.S. on Friday.
Farrah, 62, initially began filming her treatment in January last year, after her cancer returned.
Farrah was diagnosed with the disease in 2006 and was originally given the all-clear after initial treatment, until it came back with a vengeance.
Her condition has now deteriorated so badly that she is bed-ridden and has lost all her hair.
She first began to record her trips to Germany as she sought the latest medical treatment, taping her doctors' words so that she would remember everything she was told.
The footage was then turned into a documentary with the help of NBC.
Today her long-term lover Ryan O'Neal spoke about her courage and said she had always assumed she would ultimately beat the cancer.
He recalled a time she was told she was cancer-free, saying she was 'very very' optimistic.
'It was like, 'Yea! YES!' She was so happy,' he said.
'It's insidious, cancer. It thinks - it let's you think you're ahead.'
O'Neal said there were 'man times' for a 'couple of years' where they were convinced she had won the war.
Even at her most sick he insists she didn't mind the cameras.
'There were times where she got terribly ill and started to vomit. She didn't care.
'She was possessed, you know?
'She's been on film all her life, I guess, since she was 19 or 20. She didn't care.'

Kung Fu Star David Carradine Found Dead
5:19pm UK, Thursday June 04, 2009
Kung Fu and Kill Bill star David Carradine has been found hanged in a hotel room in Bangkok.
The American embassy in Thailand confirmed the 72-year-old had been found dead in the capital, where he was filming.
Reports said Caradine had failed to appear for a meal with the film crew on Wednesday and that his body was found by a hotel maid at the Park Nai Lert hotel the following morning.
Police said there were no signs of a struggle or other suspicious circumstances and are treating the death as suicide.
Carradine was a member of a Hollywood acting family that included his father, character actor John Carradine, and brother Keith.
He appeared in more than 100 feature films with such directors as Martin Scorsese, Ingmar Bergman and Hal Ashby.
One of his prominent early film roles was as singer Woody Guthrie in Ashby's 1976 biopic Bound for Glory.
He was perhaps most famous for his role as the fugitive half Chinese Shaolin monk Kwai Chang Caine in the 1970s western TV drama Kung Fu.
After Kung Fu, Carradine starred in the 1975 cult flick Death Race 2000.
He starred with Liv Ullmann in Bergman's The Serpent's Egg in 1977 and with his brothers in the 1980 Western The Long Riders.
His career dwindled after the 1980s to appearing in low budget films but received a major boost when he starred in Quentin Tarantino's two-part Kill Bill films in 2003 and 2004.

Last night I watched his last interview with Barbara Walters and cried through the whole thing. His courage through his whole battle was spectacular. I feel so sorry for his wife. You can tell they are were so in love. My thoughts and prayers to everyone who has or is battling cancer.

Re: List of celebrities who have passed on
Patrick Swayze was a very talented and a very nice human being. He was modest and dignified and had great strength of character as was seen in his courageous battle with this absolutely dreadful disease. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive cancers but if it can be diagnosed early enough it can be beaten, a friend of mine was diagnosed six years ago but it was at a very early stage and she is still with us, but for Patrick unfortunately his cancer was not diagnosed early enough. My heart goes out to his family. He will be very sadly missed. RIP Patrick xxx

Edward Woodward has died
It has just been announced that Edward Woodward has passed away in Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro
BBC News
"Actor Edward Woodward dies at 79
Woodward played a spy in TV series Callan
Veteran actor Edward Woodward has died aged 79, his agent has confirmed.
The Croydon-born star had been suffering from various illnesses including pneumonia and died in hospital, said Janet Glass.
Woodward is most famous for his roles in the cult 1973 horror film The Wicker Man, alongside Christopher Lee, and US TV series The Equalizer.
He was last seen on screen in BBC One soap EastEnders as Tommy Clifford earlier this year.
The actor, who lived in Hawker's Cove near Padstow, died at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
Ms Glass said he had been ill for several months and passed away surrounded by members of his family.
Edward Woodward: from the 1973 cult classic The Wicker Man
"I knew him a very long time and he was a superb human being," she said
"That integrity shone through in the roles he played. I can't ever remember, in all the productions he undertook, anyone having a bad word to say about him and he never had anything bad to say about anyone else either.".
Ms Glass added: "Universally loved and admired through his unforgettable roles in classic productions, he was equally fine and courageous in real life, never losing his brave spirit and wonderful humour throughout his illness.
"His passing will leave a huge gap in many lives," she said.
Actor Simon Pegg, who was a big fan of Woodward and cast him in his 2007 film Hot Fuzz, said on Twitter: "So sorry to hear we have lost the great Edward Woodward. Feel lucky to have worked with him."
Woodward is survived by his second wife, the actress Michele Dotrice, and four children, three of whom he had during his first marriage. "

Goodbye Bill McLaren
...the voice of Scottish Rugby for decades, and one we all grew up with on the Saturday sports programmes. He had a truly unique turn of phrase as well as being a genuinely nice guy. He died last night of natural causes, aged 86. Two of his grandchildren now play for the Scottish rugby squad.

Designer Alexander McQueen 'hanged himself'
Fashion designer Alexander McQueen hanged himself in a wardrobe after leaving a note, an inquest in London has been told.
He was found dead at his London home on Thursday, as final preparations were being made for his spring collection to be unveiled in Paris.
Westminster Coroner's Court was told a post-mortem examination had said he had died due to asphyxiation and hanging.
Mr McQueen died on the eve of the funeral of his mother, Joyce.
Further investigation
The five-minute hearing was told his body had been identified on the day of his death by his sister, Janet McQueen, of Hornchurch, Essex.
Det Insp Paul Armstrong told the inquest there were no suspicious circumstances.
He presented the note found at the scene to the coroner, Dr Paul Knapman, for further investigation.
Coroner's officer Lynda Martindill said no report of the post-mortem examination was yet available.
Dr Knapman adjourned the inquest until 1000 GMT on 28 April.
Reporters were passed a note asking them to respect the McQueen family's privacy.
Mr McQueen was named British designer of the year four times after 1996.
His close friend fashion stylist Isabella Blow, who helped launch his career, killed herself in 2007.
Performing at the Brit awards on Tuesday night, Mr McQueen's friend Lady Gaga dedicated a song to him.

How sad, when a successful and talented man, is so unhappy with his life he has to take it. I hope he is at peace now.

There are some suggestions that it was not a simple suicide and some auto erotic asphyxiation was involved, apparently he was found in a wardrobe !
