The dog, the cat and the hole in the fence!
I was out doing some weeding in my front garden a while back when my neighbour called over. I hadn't noticed him. He was busy taking down a section of fencing between our gardens that had a large hole in it.
This is how it happened. One of my cats, a very intelligent Burmese, has a habit of going next door, lying in the driveway and teasing the two Jack Russell dogs that like to sit on the window ledge. He knows those dogs are safely locked up and can't get him, so he rolls around on the driveway and the dogs go wild.
Anyway, the hole! My neighbour's daughter came out of the house, while my cat was rolling around, thinking he was in no danger, except that the young woman had their collie on a lead. The dog saw the cat - cat saw the dog and took off - cat went over the fence - dog went through it and the neighbour's daughter ended up flat on her face with the lead around her leg!
My cat still goes round there for some fun. I watch him strolling out of our gate and walking round next door to lie there and tease those dogs.

Re: The dog, the cat and the hole in the fence!
We had a cat once that used to torment the collie next door. It belonged to an old lady, and when she went out she used to leave the dog tied to the washing pole on a length of rope.
Well, the cat knew to within an inch, just how long that bit of rope was - and used to lie just about a foot out of reach of the dog.
I still shudder to think what might have happened if that bit of rope had ever broke!

Collies are not for tormenting!
as above
Magpies are not for tormenting either ;my daughter has cats and her terrible tabby he is a beauty had been goading a pair of maggies for a while, one day he caught one dragging it kicking and screaming through the catflap , just as my daughter was going to work. She threw a towel over the cat and he let go the bird had other ideas he kept coming forward pecking at the cat .She got them both outside and maggie flew off only to return with its partner , they sit on the fence and as soon as the cat shows they conduct air raids and this has been going on for over a year.

Woweee! What clever birds. The wood pigeon, on the other hand, is a gentle creature, but not too bright. In my garden, when magpies take over the feeder, the little birds take off. When the wood pigeons are sitting on the feeder, the little birds just peck away around them. The wood pigeons are very wary creatures. They fly down, sit on top of the fence, looking and looking and looking, before flying down to the garden table or something around the same height off the ground and looking and looking and looking, before finally getting to the ground feeder. As long as I stand still, the wood pigeons don't notice me.
Well, there I was by the back door one day, watching a wood pigeon go through its security routine, which is almost as meditative as watching paint dry. After a while, the wood pigeon had clearly decided that there were no threats present and flew down and started pecking. Oh yes, Mr Wood Pigeon, no threats, just me and the line-up of three big cats sitting very still at my feet.
as above
Woodpidgeons are gentle they are visitors on our garden too its a regular little wildlife park.Terrible tabby does'nt pay too much attention to them but Queenie's a born killer she was a long time stray when i found her almost feral so it was survival for her at one time.Taken years of tlc to gain her confidence .
