A TEACHER'S career lay in ruins today after she admitted grooming a teenage boy for sex.
Shamed Anne Poli-Page rang the 15-year-old's school four times pretending to be his mum and told staff he was ill so they could spend the day together.
She also showered him with gifts, including booze, a tennis racket, and paid his mobile phone bill.
Poli-Page, an IT tutor at Southfields College in Leicester, met the boy, a pupil at a different school, socially.
The city's Crown Court was told Poli-Page, a single mum-of-three, had been warned in the past about "inappropriate" behaviour with a pupil.
She was suspended following the latest allegations and is now facing the sack after being told she must sign the sex offenders' register.
The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to meeting a child following sexual grooming, and child abduction, between March and July last year.
She also admitted harassment, after bombarding the youth with text messages and phone calls.
Poli-Page denied sexual assault, a plea accepted by prosecutors.
However, the court heard she did take her top off in front of the teenager and patted his knee.
Poli-Page, of Blaby, Leicester, also told him she "couldn't wait" until he was 16, and that he was "bad" for her hormones.
She was exposed when the boy confessed what was happening to a teacher at his school.
The case was adjourned until April 7, when Poli-Page will be sentenced. She was on bail with the condition not to contact the teenager.

A female teacher who became ‘obsessed’ with a teenage boy has been jailed for eight months after she admitted grooming him for sex.
Shamed Anne Poli-Page had already been warned about her behaviour with young boys after she allowed students to film her stripping.
But despite being told about her conduct with young males the manipulative IT teacher targeted the 15-year-old with the aim of getting him into bed.
The 47-year-old told the teen she had performed sex acts on another youngster and talked about enjoying threesomes when she was with her ex-partner.
The single mum-of-three even rang the boy's school four times pretending to be his mother telling staff he was ill so they could spend the day together.
But she was eventually found out when the youngster, who has been left ‘distraught’ by the relationship, confessed about what had been going on to a nurse at his school.
Today the teacher sobbed as she was jailed and ordered to stay away from all males under the age of 18 because of the ‘danger’ she poses.
Leicester Crown Court heard Poli-Page showered the boy with gifts, including a tennis racket and alcohol. She also bought him a mobile phone so they could be in constant contact.
Within weeks of meeting the boy, the teacher from Southfields College in Leicester told him she ‘couldn’t wait’ until he was 16, and that he was ‘bad’ for her hormones.
Poli-Page, of Blaby, Leicester, denied any sexual activity took place between them, a plea accepted by prosecutors.
However, the court heard that on two occasions she took her top off in front of the teenager and would touch him on the leg.
Prosecuting Mary Prior told the court: ‘This defendant with sophistication and determination set out to take sexual advantage and intended to have sex with him.
‘She told him she performed a sex act on another young man and talked to him about threesomes with her ex-partner.
‘It was clear to him that she intended to have sex with him when he was 16 at the latest.’
Mrs Prior said Poli-Page made the teenager ‘feel like she needed advice and guidance from him’ and would describe him as 'her rock'.
‘She bought him a phone so they could keep in touch and would get him to lie to his parents.’
The hearing was told the boy tried to scale down contact with the older woman because he was concerned that she was getting ‘obsessed’ with him.
But she ‘threatened to tell his parents of all the things that she had kept quiet about' if he did so.
The court was told that in January 2008 Poli-Page, who had no previous convictions, was given a final written warning by her management at her college.
Mrs Prior said: ‘It was found she had been undressing in front of students and allowing it to be recorded. She also invited students to a party at her home and flirted with them, making suggestive comments, and was overly tactile.’
In interview after her arrest she claimed the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was a ‘liar’ and that she ‘did not fancy him’ as she was already in a relationship with another young man.
The court heard the teacher ‘turned on her victim with venom’ and would contact him 10 to 20 times a day over money she claimed he owed her.
It was said the experience had a ‘significant and substantial’ affect on the teenager. He had suffered from depression.
Helen Johnson, mitigating, said there had been no sexual contact between the pair.
‘There is no evidence as to what her intentions were. As she has become older and more lonely she has pursued relationships with young men that were not realistic that has led to her appearance today,’ she added.
Passing sentence, Judge Mark Rogers said there was ‘a very real danger’ of Poli-Page ‘seeking out young men in the future for her sexual gratification’.
As well as the jail term she was handed a Sex Offenders Prevention Order banning her from contacting any male under the age of 18.
The judge told her: ‘This an example of how damaging an offence grooming can be.
‘Your objective, I am sure, was not to force him into sex against his will, but to groom him into a relationship where sexual intimacy of all sorts was a viable option.
‘There was clearly a sexual motivation in my judgment.’
‘I completely acquit him of any blame or responsibility for what happened. He was in an impossible position and the affect upon him has been disastrous.’
