Not sure the Priory counts as a mental hospital.....but if he is guilty he's either playing a very clever game or the guilt is eating him up.

Yes, I think a game of avoiding justice.

Re: Dewani admitted to hospital
A psychiatric report by Professor Nigel Eastman, written after the overdose, suggested it was "unlikely he intended to kill himself on this occasion".
Was it a PRetendy attempt?

Saw the bloke shuffling 'morosely' alongside his family on TV tonight. He's a very, VERY bad actor! Those lawyers need a word in their ears...

It looked like a very poor attempt at the 'Largactyl shuffle,' but I've seen people do that for real and Dewani is indeed a very bad actor!
Re: Dewani admitted to hospital
He's trying to portray a sick and broken hearted man, too sick to return to SA for questioning...

Largactil shuffle. LOL! Yes, trying to fake slow-mo is very hard. It didn't go well for Dewani.AnnaEsse wrote:docmac wrote:Saw the bloke shuffling 'morosely' alongside his family on TV tonight. He's a very, VERY bad actor! Those lawyers need a word in their ears...

Even if he were genuinely suffering mental health problems, I am sure he would not just be let off. South Africa must have some secure psychiatric hospitals they could look after him in and assess him!

Of course you are absolutely right, Anna! I'm a wee bit paranoid where justice is concerned... especially when criminals have a pile of money at their disposal.

Bit like the bloke I knew years ago (he hasn't been round in years!) Turned up at my house in the middle of the night looking for sympathy with very superficial horizontal cuts across his wrists. Said he had been trying to kill himself. When I suggested the more effective method of cutting arteries, he went and never came back. Can't think why!!!

IIRC the SA police don't agree with him either.

How can somebody whose business is millions of pounds in debt (according to press reports) afford the Priory? It costs thousands. Is the PR company paying for it? If so, why?
