A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a baby boy was stabbed several times at a house in Birmingham.

The baby was stabbed several times in Handsworth, Birmingham

The two-month-old was found at the property in the Handsworth area of the city at around 10.45pm on Friday.

He is in hospital where his condition is described as life-threatening, a spokesman for West Midlands Police said.

Officers arrested a 37-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and he is in custody helping with police inquiries.

A force spokesman said: "Police are not looking for anybody else in connection with this incident.

"Police have a team of detectives investigating and forensic scene investigators remain at the address gathering evidence this morning.

"A family liaison officer has also been appointed to work with the family during this difficult period."

What kind of Society have we become that a tiny, defenceless, baby should be subjected to such suffering.???????? I expect the Guy was pissed
and the tiny tot crying annoyed him..........I think they should bring back the Death Penalty for Crimes like this.

I've just been reading about that on Sky, Panda. I just don't know what kind of person would stab a tiny baby, but then the Handsworth area is one of the worst for drugs in the UK.
