The most sad thing about it....when paramedics arrived....she was beyond help.

i wonder how the paramedics knew to go there maybe amy callled for help but died before they got there

If you buy a ticket you get some rough track, and some smooth track on that journey, its that simple, you use the media to get you there you have sold your soul to them, its as simple as that.

very, very sad. An exceptional talent and a crying shame. Addiction is misunderstood. I hope she finds the peace in death, wihich so clearly eluded her in life.

Yes Anna, at peace, this is a kind thought. There are so many people who are saying bad things. I wish this girl with extraordinaire talent and so many difficultie peace. I am hoping that her parents can find strenth to go ahead.

It"s very sad that Amy died so young and with such a talent wasted. However, the demons inside her were stronger than her desire to remove them,
the treatment was there but the will was weak ., so sad.

I can't remember if it was Mum or Dad who when interviewed when she suddenly got married to that nutter (can;t remember his name), said they dreaded hearing one day the news that Amy was dead, Dad I think....its been reported that he wouldn't known she was dead because he was on a flight to NY to a Jazz Concert, as it happened I believe, terrible tragic for her family and friends left behind.

RIP Amy....Young, Gifted and very talented.

Born with an addictive behaviour ......she could off been anyone the fact is...some people are born to die young.

I think her will was strong enough to think she could beat it and if, as has been reported, she committed suicide, she realised she couldn't. The only treatment which could possibly have helped was to have her sectioned. Witnessing first hand a loved one battling the demons of drugs and drink, it isn't so easy as to just think the treatment is there. Those in the grip think they can manage it and don't need treatment. The Priory isn't really the way to go as it's so easy to walk in and out at will and still take the drugs. She was exploited by those making money out of her, who could clearly see she too ill to perform and still pushed her to do so.

I don't think the police are saying anything until tomorrow. Probably not true at all but someone on twitter with a "source" said it was suicide. Whether accidental or intentional, it's still very sad and hopefully she's now at peace.

yes i was shocked, and as so many have said, may she now find the peace she couldnt in this world. RIP Amy.

Singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in Camden, north
London, at the age of 27, police have confirmed.










Sky's home affairs correspondent Mark White says it is believed the singer
died of a suspected drug overdose but officially her death is being treated as
"unexplained."
The London Ambulance Service was called to her flat just after 4pm but were
unable to save her life.
Sky sources said the singer was "beyond help" when paramedics arrived.
Superintendent Raj Kohli of the Metropolitan police, said inquiries into her
death were continuing:
"On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was
pronounced dead at the scene...I can confirm that the deceased is Amy
Winehouse."
A section of the street on which she lived had been cordoned off by police as
fans gathered.
A spokesman for Amy Winehouse said:
"Everyone involved with Amy is shocked and devasted. Our thoughts are with
her family and friends. The family will issue a statement when ready."
Singer Michelle Gayle told Sky News that Amy's father Mitch was "devastated."
He is flying back to the UK from New York where he had been due to perform.
The Back To Black artist had cancelled all tour dates and engagements last
month after a series of erratic public appearances.
Her final show was in Belgrade in June where she was jeered by fans after a
shambolic performance.
She had appeared briefly on stage with her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield on
Wednesday night.
Her record label, Universal, paid tribute to the star:
"We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of such a gifted musician, artist
and performer."

She had been troubled by drink and drugs problems throughout her career.
Producer Mark Ronson, who had worked closely with Amy Winehouse said she was
"his musical soulmate."
Tributes to the singer have also been posted on Twitter. Sarah Brown, the
wife of former Prime Minister Gordon Brown said her death was a "terrible waste
of a great talent."
Kelly Osbourne tweeted that she had "just lost 1 of my best friends" and
fellow singer Lily Allen said Amy Winehouse's death was "beyond sad."
The managers of the singer's favourite pub,the Hawley Arms in Camden, told
Sky News they were "devastated, she was a great friend."

They suspect a drug overdose but havn"t said yet how the Police knew, did someone try to contact Amy and contacted the Police out of concern.?
