'Most Prolific' Pervert Jailed Indefinitely

..A paedophile branded the UK's most prolific hoarder of child sex abuse pictures has been jailed indefinitely.

Daniel Taylor had more than 300,000 indecent images, including a large number that fell into the most extreme category.

Bradford Crown Court heard the 31-year-old had 47 devices including hard drives, phones, memory sticks and a laptop to store the pictures.

In handing Taylor an indeterminate prison sentence, Judge Rodney Grant said he must serve a minimum of three years before he can be considered for release.

Father-of-two Taylor was described as "opportunistic and predatory" in a court report, which also said he posed a danger to children in the future.


Taylor, of Heights Drive, Farnley, Leeds, pleaded guilty to 27 charges, including making and possessing indecent images and sexually assaulting a baby.

The court heard Taylor filmed himself sexually assaulting a victim twice, but that none of the charges related to his own children.

During a search of his home, police discovered a covert camera disguised as a lighter which was capable of capturing and storing video images.

Officers also found an instruction video for paedophiles showing them how to abuse children from birth until the age of eight.

Taylor, who worked in a family business supplying and fitting gutters, encrypted his web of computers and storage devices.

But police used some of the latest technology available to break his codes and access the material.

Judge Grant said: "Fortunately, it is a rare occurrence that a court has to deal with a case such as this involving such a huge volume of child pornography and the sexual abuse of a very young child.

"The making of the video and the taking of photos of a very small child involved a breach of trust."

Taylor was also ordered him to sign the sex offenders register for life and to comply with a sexual offences prevention order.

Kitty Taylor, defending, said her client was remorseful and sorry for his actions, adding: "He has lost everything, his children, his partner and his good name."

He could be out of prison in 3 years..................what kind of joke is this? Better they just hand him over to the parents of the children and babies he has abused. What a farce the justice system in UK is.

I have absolutely no understanding why the justice system even allows these horrid individuals to have any expectation of release. Once released it will happen again and again.
