Michaela Garecht

November 19th 2009 marks the 21st anniversary of the abduction of Michaela Garecht, from Hayward, California, USA.
The morning of 19 November 1988, was a sunny Saturday morning. Michaela and her best friend went to the local market, on their scooters, to buy candy and soda. The market was two blocks away.
When the two girls, where finished inside the market, they starting walking across the markets car park. They had actually forgotten that they had their scooters with them. Half way across the car park, they remembered, and turned back to fetch them.
Michaela noticed immediately that her scooter had been moved from the market door. It was moved next to a car, three car park spaces down from the door.
Michaela went to pick it up and as she bent over, a man jumped out the car and grabbed Michaela from behind and threw her screaming into the car. The man then climbed into the car and drove off. Leaving Michaelas best friend horrified.
