STORY HIGHLIGHTS
(CNN) -- Casey Anthony's "first video diary,"
apparently recorded last October, surfaced on YouTube this week, but her
lawyer says she did not put it there.
Anthony, acquitted last summer of murder charges in the death of her
2-year-old daughter, Caylee, but convicted of four counts of lying to
authorities investigating the child's disappearance, appeared optimistic
about her future as she talked to a computer.
"Just a little surreal how much things have changed since July and
how many things haven't changed," she said. "But the good thing is that
things are starting to look up and things are starting to change in a
good way. I just hope they stay, that things stay good and that they
only get better."
She's living at an undisclosed location in Florida while she serves a
one-year probation sentence for her 2010 conviction on check fraud
charges.
"Casey has maintained notes and memoirs for her personal counseling,"
Anthony attorney Cheney Mason told CNN on Thursday. "She did not upload
or release this to YouTube. She doesn't know how the video got on
YouTube. She did not authorize it, and therefore it had to be obtained
illegally."

Grace: Casey Anthony video 'contrived'
Anthony never mentions Caylee in the four-minute black-and-white video, but she does talk about a dog "I've adopted and I love."
She sat alone, staring at the computer, which she said she's "just
starting to figure out," as she recorded what she called "my first video
diary." She promised it would be "the first of many." She wore
dark-rimmed glasses, and her naturally brunette hair was colored blond.
"I hate being on camera, but I don't know, I need to conquer that
fear at some point, and this is a good start," she said. "So, here's
something. It's the end of the first but just the beginning."
She paid for the computer, but the camera was a gift, she said.
"I'm extremely excited, extremely excited that I'll be able to Skype
and obviously keep a video log, take some pictures," Anthony said.
Anthony, 25, spent nearly three years in jail waiting for her murder trial. She was freed on July 17, 2011.
"It's been a long time since I've been able to call something mine,"
she said. "And now that I have something even, you know, it's silly
saying that I have a computer and a camera and a phone."
She appeared to say the name of the person who gave her a phone,
although the audio was edited from the version of the video posted
online.
"These are things that are mine that I don't have to, I don't know,
that I don't have to give back," she said. "It's kind of nice, finally,
being able to say that I have some belongings that are mine, that I'll
be able to take with me after I leave here next year. It's kind of funny
to think about."
She speculated that she could be freed from her probation conditions,
which require her to report weekly and remain in an undisclosed area,
as early as February or as late as August.
Anthony said the computer and camera have "been such a blessing in so many ways."
"Now I always have someone to talk to when I'm by myself, so I'm not
bothering the poor dog that I've adopted and I love, and he's as much my
dog as any of the other pets I've ever had," she said.

Depositions: Casey Anthony said date rape may have caused pregnancy

Docs: Anthony claimed date rape
STORY HIGHLIGHTS
(CNN) -- Casey Anthony told a psychiatrist and a
psychologist she believed she was drugged at a 2004 party and became
pregnant with her daughter, Caylee, in whose death four years later she
was tried and acquitted.
"Took two beers, possibly given another drug," said Dr. Jeffrey
Danziger, reading notes of his conversations with Anthony, who was 18 at
the time of the party. "Woke up passed out."
The psychiatrist and William A. Weitz, a psychologist, gave
depositions to lawyers in early 2011, but never testified at Anthony's
trial last year.
Anthony, 25, was acquitted last summer of murder charges in the 2008
death of Caylee, 2, but was convicted of four counts of lying to
authorities investigating the child's disappearance. She is living at an
undisclosed location in Florida while she serves a one-year probation
sentence for her 2010 conviction on check fraud charges.
The depositions were released Wednesday by Orange County Chief Judge
Belvin Perry Jr. , who presided over the murder trial. The Orlando
Sentinel asked for release of the documents.

Anthony's mental evaluation unsealed
Did Jose Baez quit?
Anthony said she did not know who Caylee's father was, Weitz told
attorneys in April 2011. "She felt that she was drugged and that there
was a question in her mind that she may have been raped or date raped."
The woman never considered abortion, Weitz said.
"She was going to have the child, she was going to be a responsible
mother, and there were no alternatives in terms of who would parent he
child," Weitz said in the deposition. "Glad that she had Caylee. She
immediately had love for her child."
Weitz also described what he termed Anthony's "unemotional and
detached" manner, but said that she did not fit the criteria of having
mental disorders.
Casey Anthony's defense attorneys maintained that Caylee was not
murdered at all. They said the child drowned in the Anthonys'
above-ground pool in 2008, and that Casey Anthony and her father, George
Anthony, panicked upon finding her there and covered up the death.
George Anthony denied that in his testimony.
Danziger described what Casey Anthony said happened the day Caylee
died. She told him she couldn't find Caylee when she woke up, went out
to check the pool and found her father holding Caylee's wet body.
Reading from his notes, the psychiatrist described Anthony's account:
"'He was yelling at me, your fault, can't believe you did this' ... She
said he came out and said, 'Daddy is going to take care of it, the same
thing he used to say to me. He left the house with the child. That's
the last time I saw her.'"
Defense attorneys explained Casey Anthony's behavior in the month
before Caylee's disappearance was reported to police by saying that she
had been sexually abused by her father from the age of 8 and had been
taught to conceal her pain. According to Danziger, Anthony said the
sexual abuse by her father ended when she was 11.
George Anthony denied that claim in testimony, saying, "I would never do anything like that to my daughter."
The father's attorney released a statement Wednesday after the depositions were released.
"George Anthony was made aware of these statements in the deposition
prior to the trial of his daughter in 2011 and no new information has
been disclosed today," attorney Mark Lippman said. "As he has repeatedly
said prior to the trial, during the trial and after the trial he never
molested any member of his family including Casey Anthony and he had
nothing to do with the death of Caylee Marie Anthony including what
happened to her remains after she allegedly drowned."
HLN's Stephen Loaiconi and InSession's Mayra Cuevas contributed to this report.
