I don't believe statement was written by Tony Bennett. I've seen many posts written by Tony Bennett and they are articulate,which is something that statement isn't. I think that statement has been written by someone out to cause mischief for Tony Bennett.

Anyone can put a press release on that site with any name they choose.

I seem to recall that something similar was done on this very site a while back using TB's name.

As for the piece itself, it's badly constructed, mawkishly written, lower case letter i throughout instead of I - it's not TB's style at all.

Would he really reveal what he was going to do pre-court date on a free-for-all site like this one?

Hi Steve, the first thing I noticed, were the grammatical errors in the statement. No full stops, no commas, i instead of I. Tony Bennett would never have written a statement like that.

This has been done before, anyone can put anything on that website, under any name, nobody checks. I would lay money on it being Muratfan (again) as he's done this before.

I've just been on to Mr Bennett's website and read the letter, where the McCanns want Mr Bennett jailed for contempt of court. I wonder how long it will be before the McCanns and their lawyer are punished for contempt of the Supreme Court in Portugal.

Jesus its unbelievable how desperate they are, there is no way Tony would have written this, if the McC supporters can do this now I dread to think what is going to be put out come Feb.........
