Needham vs. Healy
Just watched a BBC Breakfast Interview with Kerry Needham.
Sensitive, dignified, believable, pleasant, sensible, genuine, truly distraught .................
In the same way that Healy never seems to have been
Selfish, arrogant, unbelievable, faux-hurt, demanding, accusative, vexatious litigant .......................

Ben Needham's Mum being interviewed.
I know this is not specifically to do with Madeleine but it deserves to be read, maybe for comparison.
I have just watched an interview on Breakfast T,V. with Mrs Needham and her effort to try to find Ben who disappeared 20 years ago.
Apparently kerry's Dad was renovating a Farmhouse in Greece and Ben, age 2 was playing nearby. After a while her Dad noticed it was very quiet and
Ben had disappeared.
The Farm was in a village, a dirt track road and isolated. His mother believes he was kidnapped, either to be sold or by a Mother wanting a child.
when asked how the search was progressing she said Greece will always be the first Investigators, but South Yorkshire police are now involved and CID Officers are also investigating. I don't know how they had it, but Ben's DNA has been taken from a speck of blood and an Artists impression of how he
would look today appears on the Internet, and Mrs Needham has used facebook and twitter for help.
Apparently Ben has a birthmark on the back of his neck which may have disappeared by now, but the one above his knee would not. If Benn ever reads
the internet info about him he might want to make enquiries.
Here is a Mother who has searched for 20 years without any of the benefits of a Fund, PR guy, Government support from day 1 yet she done more than
youknowwho and never given up hope.

I went to the web site and it looks like you can't 'watch again,' until tomorrow. Perhaps someone will put up the video on YouTube.
Re: Needham vs. Healy
I have masses of respect for Kerry Needham and the way she has conducted herself since Ben disappeared. Unlike the "gruesome twosome" Kerry has behaved in a very dignified way. Kerry's mission has always been to try to find her missing boy, she and her family have physically searched for Ben in Greece, as much as their funds would allow.
The "gruesome twosome" and their family, have never looked for Madeleine and are able to dip into the fund that was set up to find Madeleine, to aid their finances.

I did reply to you earlier, thanking you for the compliment and asking a question.....can't see my post so couldn't have pressed "send"
The reason I summarised was for the benefit of those who didn't see the programme, I wanted to know if you could remember where the blood spot
came from to obtain Ben's DNA.

Ben was given the Guthrieheel-prick blood test when he was born at Boston Hospital, in Lincolnshire, and the DNA has been stored by the NHS ever since.

I'm not sure kitti, remember the renault Hire car blood spots? the FSA said they could identify the Parents and twins as being one fmily but not
Madeleine because they did not have a sample of her DNA.

Re: Needham vs. Healy
The interview had started when I switched over and I was worried that mummbling Bill would have put his foot in it as usual
by bringing Madeleine into the interview. By the sounds of the report on here it looks as though for once it was just about Ben,
so pleased as poor Kerry is constantly overlooked and by overlooking her - her son is also overlooked.
But its not about the mothers its about the missing child....something that Madame McCann seems not to be aware of.

Hi amber, the interview was very good Kerry Needham was relaxed and concise, none of the err umms, like you know. One point she made was the
amount of support she had received and how helpful her 18 yr old Daughter has been.

Re: Needham vs. Healy
Yes, it was straightforward and well worthwhile.
I only caught it because it's half-term and Susannah Reid was in the chair (My favourite TV Dreamboat. Just the ticket for a sad man in his mid-fifties. Double-whammy, actually, as Julia Bradbury was also on) and I'm glad I did.
It was a pleasure to hear Kerry's cogent and sincere remarks - such a contrast to the strident "poor-me and waht about some more dosh" stuff we are accustomed to from Healy & McCann.
