Amazon avoiding uk tax
I saw an article in the guardian about how amazon is avoiding a lot of uk tax by having hq in luxembourg.
THey are saving £200-300 million a year in uk tax.
NOT SURE IF THERE IS A SIMILIAR POST.

Re: Amazon avoiding uk tax
Osbourne's efforts to claw in taxes would be better directed at the likes of Amazon who avoid paying UK duty perhaps by charging import duties on the goods they provide, (if they don't already do this) but it's so much easier to keep hitting UK based concerns and our workforce, (such as we have left).

£200-£300 MILLION A YEAR COULD CUT THE DEFICIT SUBSTANTIALLY.
IT COULD PAY FOR A SUBSTANTIALL NUMBER OF NHS EMPLOYEES.

Re: Amazon avoiding uk tax
It's not just amazon, Philip Green . owner of Arcadia which includes Top Shop and Next whose income is earned in the U.K. has Arcadia registered
off Shore in his wife's name . She lives in monte Carlo where no tax is payable. No Prime Minister has tried to clean up these deliberate tax avoidance
schemes, even Cameron , yet ordinary workers are taxed at source.
I'll give cedit to the Americans, they are doing something about it.
