Robbie Williams to become a Father

Robbie Williams is to become a father for the first time after confirming his wife, Ayda Field, is pregnant.
The 38-year-old Take That singer announced the news on his official blog.

"I've been keeping a secret from you all," he wrote.

"Me and Ayda are going to be mummy and daddy this year."

The star, who rejoined Take That for the Progress album and tour last year, said finding out had been an emotional experience.

"We've seen scans and cried... Looked at babies in commercials and teared up... The nursery is already planned.

"Basically I'm in love with a little person growing in mummy's belly and can't wait to be a daddy.


He added: "Crying now."

Williams and US actress Field got married at his Beverly Hills mansion in August 2010.

He is believed to be working on a new solo album which is expected to be released in the autumn.

The rest of Take That - barring Jason Orange - are already fathers.

Gary Barlow's wife is currently pregnant with the couple's fourth child.
