Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
If you look at the Guardian online there is an article about Cameron and Brooks. Apparently she put pressure on him to get SY involved.

Re: Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
Ive often wondered if the connection in all this, is Brooks?? have Kate and her been life long friends??
Did Brooks get involved from the word go, to help out her old pal??
Brooks been able to bring in all the help needed....Murdochs, Blairs, Brown, high profile celebs and Mitchell???

Re: Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
If she did l see it as a good sign... she smelt a rat and wanted it exposed. All good for newspaper headlines, and if they had always pledged 'support' to Kate and Gerry it could get them plenty or world exclusives along the way......
Purely business IMO!

Mr Cameron is alleged to have asked the Met Police to open a review into the Madeleine McCann case in May 2011 as a favour for Mrs Brooks. The decision left police chiefs furious

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
Murdoch bought this story from day 1 and knows everything. So does Brookes.
May they rue the day they chose selling newspapers above the TRUTH.

They're all in it - politicians et al including several high-up in SY. Brooks looks to be the connection or driving force behind the Murdoch support for the Mcs

Gordon Brown was at least as friendly with Rebekah Brooks as David Cameron. Is Damian forgetting that it was Gordon Brown who hosted a "slumber party" for Brooks at Chequers on her 40th birthday in 2008 and Gordon Brown who attended her wedding to Charlie Brooks in 2009?

Re: Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
I too suspect that NI know a lot more about the case than they are letting on.
The McCanns were at great pains to assure everyone at the Leveson Inquiry that their phones had not been hacked by The News of the World. I wonder why?
Given that Madeleine's sad disappearance was exactly in line with the sort of other 'human interest' stories that caused journalists to hack into the phones of loved ones, what made them not do it in this case?
Or did they? And do they know more than can be admitted? Is this why (as well as a £1million cash sweetener for serialisation of the magnum opus) NI get the lion's share of first hand stuff on the case? Plus the promise of Rebekah using her contacts (including the PM) to get the matter resolved?

Re: Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
Well I'm trying to think of reasons why David Cameron would sanction spending millions of pounds of public money merely as a favour to Rebekah Brooks. Haven't come up with any yet.

Re: Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
I can't think it was PR related either. Too many people saying there are other missing children and adults who don't get this kind of money. Also can't really believe it was just so the case could be kept in the public eye and the Sun would get all the scoops. And was RB still even working for them when David Cameron ordered the review. It's a mystery. (Oops shouldn't say that!)

Re: Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
What if it is Brooks that is the common bond between all. Loyalty to McCann/Healy for some reason so she capitalised on her friendship with Brown back in 2007 to get them out of the soup in PDL. McCann and Healy then got extra lucky because of her association with Cameron and so things have turned out as they have thus far.
Is this total rubbish ? I'm not too clued in to UK politics

You've got a point AF here's a thought..... Murdochs group supported them UNTIL they found out something due to hacking and theyve turned over what they had to SY?
It's unfeasible they were not hacked.
That would explain why they were at pains not to complain about The NOTW hoping nothing is going to come out.

It was announced by Bell Pottinger that Rebekah and Charlie Brooks were expecting a daughter in early 2012 via a surrogate mother.[64]

Re: Rebekah Brooks and Cameron
"Prime Minister David Cameron has admitted riding Rebekah Brooks's ex-police horse."
As I always suspected, the 3 'P's, Police,
Politics and Press are all in each others
pockets, as the above statement shows
all 3 strands together.
Even the horse was a copper!
