This confirms that the McCanns have Brooks by the balls, if Murdoch finds out the McCanns were hacked he is finished but more importantly his baby, the SUN will set!

Had the McCanns not been involved in Madeleines disappearance their story would have been another Milly Dowler, but the McCanns made a pact with satan himself and well it's all far too late now isn't it and rest assured there will be a paper trail on how much the McCanns were paid for their silence.

There was rejoicing in Fleet Street last night at the news that the Madeleine McCann story might still be alive.
There hav been sightings of the story in the Daily Express and the Daily Mail for years, but now the police have confirmed that a mock-up of the missing child could appear in all papers very prominently. Said a senior police chief,"We have discovered this thing called Photoshop which PC Laptop has asked his 12 years old son to operate and which has yielded an important lead story. We are going to follow this up with new mock-ups at regular intervals. As last we are getting somewhere, ie. Portugal, for an agreeable fact-finding trip."

Ian Hislops no fool.

I am missing the logic of this. NI hacked the MCs and therefore know they were involved yet the MCs have them by the balls so they are paying them, promoting stories etc just to stop them revealing they were hacked.

It doesn't compute (as they say in the best Bourne films).

I agree that whether McCanns phones were hacked or not is immaterial. In fact I doubt they were as they were cooperating fully with Murdoch's rags & he nor the staff within them care whether K & G are innocent or not. - IMO there is a PACT between them & Murdoch.

They don't have anyone by the balls. I suspect the hacking evidence went straight to SY....

THe Mcs were at pains not to knock Murdoch at Leveson and any McCann headline sells papers so for the time being the game goes on.

Think Hislop's been Crucked at least once, so he's very careful what he prints now. This is a step in the right direction imo.

Just caught Brooks saying how helpful the Sun staff were to callers etc.- even giving them road directions! Obviously excludes anyone who disagrees with TMc and the bile spewed out by the so called reporters!

Considering Hislop is reputedly the most sued man in the UK "at least once" may be the tip of the iceberg. Private Eye did win (one of few) the Stuart Condliffe case (lawyers CR) although IIRC Condliffe did score an own goal by accusing his own lawyers of lying. I wonder how often CR have been referred to PE's reply in Arkell v Pressdam?
