Not sure if this is a pic of the back of the villa but it appears back in 2007 the drive had cobbled stone,maybe it has been done again recently?
certainly it would not be unusual for a house owner to want a drive redone to his/her taste & it wouldn't be unusual for a builder to dump rubbish in the groundwork before adding the hardcore
