I guess she's waiting to see which way the wind blows maebee. If it turns out family are involved I think KM will keep very quiet, if it transpires family are not involved, then no doubt she'll have plenty to say.

IMO Katey will have been told to keep well away from this one by Team McCann, but why haven't the MP Charity said "come on Kate this is perfect for us to get LOTS of publicity for our charity and you spear heading it as well......Remember Kate all publicity is good publicity.
Is it worth getting intouch with the MP Charity to ask why Lady Kate hasn't YET come out to speak Tia as she is a Missing Child/Person.

And she has been missing for a week.

Different class of abductee i would think. Kate thinks she's a cut above until she lets her guard now and sounds like a scouse washer woman!

She's not there to do anything she is just a figurehead for missing people....she's done her bit for them and for herself like she did for the european amber alert.....
Shes not interested in doing things for other people all she is interested in is making her self look innocent.....that's it and she will use whatever cause she can to do that...

It's certainly a full-time job in itself for Kate to make herself look innocent (there aren't enough hours in the day) so I guess that she just hasn't had the time to comment on any particular cases.

Thank you Bobsy.
There's a McCann approved event on Sunday 12th August to release pink balloons with the usual raising awareness intent.
It's on Facebook as "Pink Balloon Day for Madeleine McCann Sunday 12th August".
Perhaps K & G will deign to make an appearance?

350 people have signed up, wonder if they will need police to stop rioting with all those people?

Why the 12th August, have I missed something about that specific date? Where is it to be held?

Just the fb nutters, who in a general conversation about candle lighting and praying hit upon the spiffing idea of having a balloon launch, which would involve tying luggage tags to the balloons in the hope they'll land somewhere where a person who has been on mars or whatever for the last five years will suddenly recognise her and have the vital piece of information....
So after a debate about whether K & G would approve and various emails sent to Mr Gerry himself (after he had ignored a few) he finally responded with a "Yes" and they all got excited and planned it for the 12th...no idea why...and I have obviously been blocked by a couple of users on the thread because I see Pammy replying to posts I can't see and it seems there were other debates going on as well...no idea what about but a couple of people seemed to get their knickers in a twist about the length of time to organise it, with one person pointing out that Ben Needhams balloon launch was planned 4 months in advance!!!!
Oh and one poor soul got ripped to shreds for questioning the environmental aspect of launching balloons, how dare she put the environment ahead of the search for Madeleine...Webmaster stepped in with a suggestion of using environmentally friendly balloons...
You couldn't make it up

Oh, thank you Susible, not a particular date in the McCann calendar then, just seemed like a good idea at the time.

Hi. I believe 12th August is the Olympic Closing Ceremony. Piggybacking again. What happened to all of those massive screens that missing people were supposed to be flashed on to throughout the games? Haven't seen one and I'm in London.

Pink Balloon Day
I'm not sure if I've got this right (certainly wouldn't be the first time I was wrong and it won't be the last) but there is no actual precise venue for this event? We are being asked to release balloons wherever we happen to be?

Yes it is the closing ceremony on Sunday, though I couldn't say the time, I am presuming evening for any light shows.
Yes indeed what has happened to all the publicity with the massive screens that they hung their hat on as being so important, not a thing, just shows how much use that particular group are, chocolate teapot useful.

Kitti, there are regular insinuations by everyone in the news about the Grandmother's boyfriend.
Is it me, or does 37 sound really young to be the boyfriend of a Grandmother with a 12 yo?
