I have today purchased the book madeleine £1
I have today purchased the book madeleine.
I have today bought the book “Madeleine” It is the £20 hard back addition. I purchased it from a charity shop for the grand total of £1.
Well at least the charity will benefit from the very small donation; ironically it was from a hospice shop.
Anyway I though it would be handy to keep as a reference, just in case I need to check if quoted passages are correct.

Love it! If you ration yourself to one chapter a day and give page 129 a wide berth you might just about manage with that lot.

I saw the other week "The Bewk" in a shop, and thought I will have a look, and couldn't bring myself to touch it. There was no place to wash hands afterwards.

Maybe we should all carry a small bottle of that hand cleansing gel. I hate the stuff because it dries your skin out horribly, but may give confidence when handling contaminated written material.

Good morning AnnaEsse
As well as a peg for our noses, to preserve us from the awful stench from "The Bewk."

Re: I have today purchased the book madeleine £1
However much the activities of the celebrity bad parents, in particular the publications of KM and her recent installation in a leading charity as ambassador for missing children, may gall, the positive side is impossible to ignore, as any serious perusal of comments by the general public in response to articles in the online media (where they are allowed) shows quite clearly. If the object of these activities was not only to make money, but to rehabilitate the author and her loving spouse and silence critical opinion, then it would apear that they have missed the mark by a wide margin. My impression that the majority of the public now take a critical position or are openly hostile is only strengthened by cases where comments are not allowed or are whooshed after a short period of time, because that tells me quite clearly that the majority of views expressed must have been embarrassingly negative to 'the cause'. As far as the books are concerned however, the most important aspect has to be that the lies are now on record (from the horse's mouth so to speak) for all to see, as Blacksmith never tires to point out in his excellent blogs. On record for all to see; that means not only the general public, but also the police, judiciary and politicians of both countries. The news that this record of lies is now available for the princely sum of one pound and might well reach a lot more people as a result, is therefore most encouraging.

I wish I could photo shop, some great pictures could be created using these comments as captions.

I agree as this was my main reason for purchasing the book.
The truth in black and white.

If I saw the book for a quid, I'd buy it too so that as many of us as possible have the record of lies to refer to.

Re: I have today purchased the book madeleine £1
Second-hand copies are available on Amazon from one penny!
Does anyone know if the audio book version came out? There was mention a while ago that it had been voiced by the actress Lesley Sharp but I can't now find it anywhere.
I would prefer to listen to an audio version rather than reading the actual book as that would conjure up Kate's whining voice in my head.

My other half got me the bewk for 50p from a charity shop. I annotated it. Every page a gem.
It's now 'evidence'. It's crammed with lies.
I think the bewk tipped gerald over the edge.
He's never looked comfortable since.

He now looks like a man who's sitting on a time bomb. Mr. Smug is long gone ! I think that look he gave her in Madrid said it all....

Reader I bought it...
Yep, I bought the book a long while ago and it is sitting there unread at the top of my bookcase. I started it, but I honestly just lost heart, and I genuinely couldn't carry on. There was practically nothing about M at all in the part I read...
