Have you noticed the silence from You Know Who?

When was the last time the McCanns gave an interview or have been mentioned by the Press? No latest sightings to report, no Ambassadorial work undertaken by Kate with suitable Press coverage, no photos of the McCanns running for Charity, no joining the Royal Party at the Olympics...think they know something we don't???

Ambassador Kate McCann, has not made a public appeal, for the safe return of April Jones, which if the media reports are true, is due to abduction.

By the way, Panda, do you know when Ambassador Kate, is due to be relieved of her duties within the charity? I was under the impression that she was only given the post for 12 weeks.

That's news to me, but would make sense. She appeared to have no interest in the job at all and the one time she could have represented them, it was another board member who told the public on TV to phone them if they didn't want to talk to the police. Hmm.

There certainly is a lack-lustre aura around the pair. No longer Wallace and Grommit like appearances, holding hands, reciting the creed.

There's nothing new on the Missing People website in respect of Kate. I presume that the temporary ambassadorship can always be extended.

I don't suppose she or they will comment on April Jones yet as it has not been established if anyone known to her is responsible for her disappearance.

Yes Girls, it is noticeable , that is why I mention it. As you say Kathybelle, as soon as April was reported missing, Kate should have given a T.V. Interview to say missing relations are there to help and support. Maybe the adverse publicity and e-mails to the Charity decided both parties to let Kate resign.

Also, running with proceeds to the Charity , would have meant Kate was taking her role seriously would have helped. I can't think of his name but you know, the Police Officer who went public about his feelings on the Review asked Cameron what he intends to do when the Fund runs out must have set the Press thinking. Clarence has got another job , maybe rats deserting the sinking ship???

But that fact should not make any difference at this stage - it is about finding April and she is missing, that is a fact, and Kate should be making an appeal as Ambassador for Missing People. Its not right to just attach yourself to certain cases and not to others on the basis that a family member may have knowledge or may be guilty. If that were the case, the McCanns should be very grateful for all the support they have gained because its a good job people don't think the way they do!

3rd Book she has no time for what for her would be trivia. I definitely think the Press have sussed that the Fund will soon run out and there is no new evidence which rather makes the McCanns and Cameron liable for criticism. It will also affect sales of this new book because sympathy for Kate will have evaporated.

Hi tgger, yes , it is due to be released in April 2013 , described as a kind of endgame, probably another 49 pages tagged on to the second book. However, her second book did not sell well and if , by not finding anything overlooked by the PJ,which is inceasingly likely , the Publisher might decide not to go ahead.

I asked this question recently about reports of another book and someone (can't remember who) said that it's just another update of "Madeleine" with more information about the SY review added on.

I think it will be a kind of "well, we tried our hardest to find Madeleine but reluctantly we have closed the Fund and want to concentrate on more time for each other and the twins"." We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Fund which allowed us to keep searching, the friends and relatives who were there for us in our darkest days" . Alternatively, instead of the usual drivel, she could write a book entitled "50 Greatest Jogging Routes Around Praia De Luz".
