Kate McCanns mobile phone calls

I was searching mccanncasefiles to find the final Report because I don't think the PJ mentioned the McCanns as being responmsible for Madeleine dying in 5a as Jill suggests on the Tony Bennet thread, I think it just said , of four possibilities that "Madeleine died in Apartment 5a". If someone can find it , can you pm me the link page? Ta.

I found this during my search, the last sentence is interesting.


Her mobile memory held details of 39 calls from 18.28 on Wednesday 25th April to 16.35 on 27th April 2007. After her arrival in Portugal on 28th April 2007, with the exception of one incoming call on Wednesday 2nd May 2007 at 11.21 (which, very interestingly, was the Swansea "wrong number"), and one call from her husband at 23.17 on Thursday 3rd May 2007, everything else has been "whoosh-clunked" from memory. These deletions could have been accidental, but a high degree of cunning could be implied. Why would she selectively delete everything up to Thursday 3rd May 2007 with the exception of one wrong number and what was her reason for deleting three of the four calls, between 23.14 and 23.17, from her husband on that critical night?. A possible answer is that she wished to avoid alerting the PJ to evidence that details of around 40 calls had been erased and she felt happier leaving something uncontroversial (or misleading) in memory for them to find. Another answer is that, unsurprisingly, she was under the most extreme stress imaginable following the disappearance of her daughter: but why, in that case, give priority to deleting anything. It is the last thing most parents would think about in the circumstances.

It points to Maddies possible demise earlier than 3rd may,i have seen reference that Kate made a flurry of calls/texts(later deleted) the night Mrs Fenn heard crying & Kate could be pinpointed in the apartment from the phone ping records but surely the pings couldn't pinpoint a persons exact location could they?
For the deletion of any phone records in the circumstances Kate claims she was in is just another piece of the jigsaw
All that fist banging & punching walls...you then open your phone menu-go to phone records-select the calls/texts to delete-then press delete-are you sure-confirm...rather calculating when you think about it

That last sentence is so very telling as it isn't a mistake, it is actually a bit time consuming to delete a call and to delete 39 calls must have taken a few minutes, did Gerry do the same?

Hi Bobsy,it is easy enough to delete calls(who would under these alleged circumstances?) but to leave 1 or 2 'innocent calls' is what flags this up,when the pj looked at both Kate & gerry's call records,Kate had deleted 1 call made to Gerry but Gerry had left that 1 call in his phones record...im sure the pj would have scrutinised their phone records anyway...this just raised the red flag a little earlier
I believe something happened to Madeleine pre may 3rd,partly due to Kate deleing calls made on the tuesday...any innocent reason for this?

Thanks wjk........I looked on MM and found 3 theories and am fairly certain in the one on the mccancasefiles does not say that Madeleine died in 5a as a cover up by Portugese and British Police......it would never make such claims. Jill Havern could get into trouble so I have posted on the McCann/Bennet thread asking if a member of Jill's Forum can get in touch with her and ask her to check out the PJ Final Report.

I know I've read about both countries agreeing on that but for the life of me, I can't remember where. I don't remember if it was just a poster saying it or if they provided a link to it.
It would be interesting to read if anyone can provide a link.

I doubt the British and Portugese would make such a statement .....otherwise the McCanns would have sued them a long time ago. I definitely read 4 theories one was that she was abducted , another that she died in Apartment 5a., can't remember the other 2 offhand and ikt was doing my head in searching ,LOL
