Nobody writes a book for 2 people to read. Why did she publish it and do the rounds selling it to the public?

Yes Mr McCann, you have been compensated financially. How was Madeleine ever compensated for the fear and lonliness she would have felt during that holiday, alone at night in a strange apartment, in a creche with strangers day after day. She was not and will not ever be compensated.

How did you answer Amelie's question ? Define a lie. Is back tracking and ever changing stories about what happened a lie ? Is glossing over the truth, making statements with regard to shutters being jemmied and broken open a lie ? You and your wife have made many many untrue statements, so if something is untrue, is it a lie ? Perhaps the headline in the paper was not that far off, at the very least there was a small grain of truth in it, you have most definately lied on a number of occasions.

Has Amelie or Sean ever asked why to you call people "f*****g t*****s" ? If not, I am sure they will, at some time in the future. How terrible for a child to have to ask their parents a question such as that. They may ask what did that man do to you ? What is the answer - he befriended you in a strange country, took you into his home, oh and carried out his job as a serving police officer. So dear children, that is why he is a f****** t*****.

Get used to the questions from your children Mr McCann, as they will be plentiful in the very near future. I have children the same age, oh how they love to question.

Hi cass, Iv'e done my bit, have no desire to joine FB and twitter, It's all I can do post here. There has never been a better opportunity to let people know the truth about the McCanns ......will the tide turn for them now though ????

For the Mccanns to be able to tell the twins the truth, they first have to know the meaning
of the word. It would appear from words coming from their own mouths in statements, and interviews, that they have changed their stories so many times and given so many versions of what happened that they have shown from their own mouths they appear to have little understanding of the meaning of the word TRUTH.
There can only be ONE version of the TRUTH.

When the twins are older they will be able to search the internet for themselves, they will be able to read the PJ files and the statements made by their parents, they will be able to watch the interviews which their parents gave, they will be left with the same feeling and questions as everyone else, namely, they say one thing in one interview, and something completely different in the next. Their statements are not consistent, and their statements dont tally with those of some of their mates. So the twins will be able to see that their own parents have told different versions of what happened to Madeleine. I would think therefore that the twins will be having the same questions as we all have about things not adding up, added to that the twins will have to cope with the fact that their own parents left them and Madeleine to go boozing (which is the story they have put out) although many believe that was a cover!

The twins will have to get their heads around the fact that their own parents neglected them and that their own parents have told all different versions about what happened. Added to that the heartache of finding out that their own mother refused to co-operate with the PJ investigation, even though she was told that could hinder the investigation, and the fact that their own parents turned Madeleine into a commercial money making venture.

The mccanns like to harp on about other people's behaviour, but what they need to be concerned about is their OWN behaviour and putting the twins through all this when they get older. All of this could be avoided if the actual truth was told.

I look forward to the day Kate decides her own book needs pulping. For the sake of the twins. What a quandary, eh?

The ambassadorship of KM is a meagre sop to such an outstanding author, who should have sold many millions of copies of both her books. Emulating J.K. Rowling even, but alas! I doubt that Transworld have made the advance on royalties on the book even now.

Although it was announced that KM would be giving a press conference two days ago and she would speak after Cameron (apparently Milliband and Clegg would have to wait) nothing of the sort happened. A news release by a desperate pink one? Couple of one-line quotes, no assembled press hanging on her every word.

They've now annoyed the popular press who can ignore them at their will from now on. Even the Daily Mail shoved the item today right down the online page.

Cass, if they don't jump on this, there is nothing much left for them. Being victims is the only role they can play, and the only current role available in that regard is to be a victim of the press and the hacking scandal. They were the victims of the nasty paedophile gang in PDL, victims of inept policing, victims of vile internet nutters. Crikey, even Kate could not go running in PDL without being the victim of a rabid pack of dogs who bit her !

All the while one is left with the impression that Madeleine is perhaps alive and well and living with another family, so thankfully, she is not a victim of anything. Yet, they are now using their remaining children as a means to garner sympathy.

As always, their actions are an insult to the true victims of what went on with the press. As usual they have jumped on the bandwagon. A public role for Gerry will never happen, or if it does, will be very short lived, imo. He is too arrogant by far, he will never endear himself to anybody in the public domain, not in the long term. Kates attempt at the Ambassador role has not gone well, so perhaps the penny has dropped for her.

Panda I agree with you. They need to be careful. Cameron was a powerful friend when they required a review, if I were in their shoes I would not be too quick to forget that. If they don't agree with his approach to the Leeveson report the best course of action for them would be to do or say nothing. Keep their heads down and mind their own onions as they say. But that is not their style.

Yes Mossman they need to keep their heads well down. The press have not printed the real facts of this case because they were silenced. Something that could happen time after time if Cameron gave the Leverson verdict the go ahead.

IMO the McCanns are really balancing on the edge here. They are the ones that want complete control of the press so that anything remotely linking them to the disappearence of their daughter would be jumped on. Same as it has been since the newspapers started to have evidence to condemn them. We don't want that old chesnut back again do we!

They are going for Cameron because he does not want the press regulated. It is so much in the McCann's interest that it is absolutely regulated they are ignoring the fact that Cameron pumped three million quid of taxpayers money into a useless inquiry.
