John Buck left Portugal a few months later, Sheree Dodd was replaced and Bill Henderson also left. Was there really a person of such importance that an Ambassadors report is ignored ?

Indeed - and this was at a time when everyone was out looking for Madeleine - apart from the McCanns themselves of course.

I don't know if it's a forum myth but there was a quote that the money was to carry on the search "after the police had stopped doing so".

How could they have foreseen that the police would not find her?

Why would Gerry Mccann's brother John give up his job to work for the "fund" when the child might have been found at any time?

That's not a myth, Gerry or a spokesman actually said that in the early days when they were still in Portugal.

Clarence Mitchell stated himself that the reason the Mccanns wanted the case shelved was because they wanted to employ their own detectives to search for her.

So the Mccanns did think about after the case was to be shelved BEFOREHAND.
