Dr.Amaral has suffered misfortune to an almost tolerable extent in recent years and his father's passing is yet another sad blow.

I'd like to add my condolences to the Amaral family upon the death of Mr. Amaral Sr. My sympathy especially to Mr. Amaral Jr. for having to bear this loss as he fights for justice for Madeleine. May the soul of your departed father rest in heavenly peace.

I think it may help him by realising that others are aware that he's going through a difficult time.

I wonder what the McCann's reaction is to this news? RIP, shame that he never lived to see his son get justice.
