You just couldn't ask for a more sleaze-friendly politician than the pink pimping pimp! This is a great day indeed for British politics.

Every time I see him, especially on video, I feel like I need to have a shower. He's sleazy, greasy and slimy!

I get the same feeling I get when I've been in a "greasy spoon" cafe where the over-heated oil seems to be in the air and sticks to the skin! How could anyone want that character to represent their interests as an MP?
Re: How ludicrious
His association with the Madeleine 'fund' will be scrutinised by his 'opponents'
Did he lie about what he said the 'fund' money 'donations' was used for?
Indeed ALL his past financial dealings with anyone can, and will, be scrutinised.
Even by the Electoral Commission that covers PPC's.
How much tax was evaded by his asking people to put money in envelopes to his employers, the very people that 'paid' him?
Etc, etc.

Brilliant description!!!
I just don't understand anyone wanting him as MP either. It isn't as if he hides his slimy, duplicitous disposition well. Gerry McCann, Peter Mandelson, and Jimmy Saville all have a very similar effect on my gag reflex!

For me, this is the pic that always leads to a head-in-the-toilet-bowl moment.
It just oozes pomposity and self-importance.

Re: How ludicrious
about that!
Still, the hustings might be ...err ... interesting.
Oh to be a fly on an opposing candidate's rosette.
Not answering questions for 'operational reasons' ain't gonna cut it in the electoral arena ...

If Lucas does her homework right, and i'm sure we could 'help' her, this man will 'resign' before he even has chance to contest the seat!
CL: "so, Mr Mitchell what exactly is, or was, your connection to at least 2 convicted fraudsters, possibly 3, if Metodo3 are charged"?
CM: "er, erm, er i don't even know Kevin Halligan or Fiona MacKeown, the benefits cheat, who stole over £51,000 or indeed Carlos .............oh blast, did i just say that?"
CL: "ok Mr Mitchell what exactly is, or was your connection to Andy Coulson?"
CM: "Andy WHO?"
CL: "you know, the Andy Coulson that employed you at the last election as his right hand man and who is now facing a conspiracy to pervert the course of justice trial in England and a perjury trial in Scotland"
CM: "oh, THAT Andy"
CL: "yes that Andy, who has admitted to a parliamentary select committe that he paid police officers for information on high profile cases, which is illegal"
CL: "Did you know anything about Coulson's alleged illegal activities Mr Mitchell?"
CM " yeah, no, yeah so i don't know"
CL: "how much income tax was evaded when you told people to put money in envelopes and send those envelopes to you employers?"
CM: I couldn't possibly answer that due to operational reasons"
CL: "How many teeth do you have in your mouth, Mr Mitchell?"

I hope the press report the facts when he is even asked these queries. His answers (or reluctance to answer) should be enough to guarantee his defeat. His role in managing the news/press is, to say the least, worrisome.

Re: How ludicrious
Clarence is a buffoon, it's going to be a joy to watch him fail in his new career.
He's the Gerald Ratner of PR and he will prove to be the Gerald Ratner of politics.

I honestly can´t imagine anyone voting for him, you would have to be seriously lacking something to vote him into office.

Re: How ludicrious
Sadly i think mitchell will fit the bill very well as a Tory mp but good to see he's already put his foot in it.
Brighton Pavilion is a funny seat where anything could happen but the Tories havn't won for a good few years so hopefully he'll be seen for what he is,a buffoon with little brain.(probably make a good Mayor of London actually).
