So strange that the McC's can't speak for themselves and tell the judge how shamed and anguished they feel.

They are allergic to anything that resembles a witness box.
Gezza is particularly afflicted - he can't even be in the same country as a Portuguese witness box.

We didn't get a lot from him yesterday, but at least we got some intermittent tweets during the day.
And of course, that allowed t'internet to comment on the tweets as they came in.

Yes they were....the mccanns had the cheek and power to ask for them to be frozen....


It don't just boil down to money for the mccanns...it is the sale off the book in the UK that they are fighting to supress...


The twins MUST be old enough to HEAR things said about Madeleine hence the....'keeping an eye on them whilst on the internet'..



Off course it's not just the book they are frightened the twins might read it's the COMMENTS from people that scare the Mccanns

Can you just visage it.....the twins are probably not allowed to go on the internet in school or not even allowed to when they are in friends houses....it must be a nightmare for the parents trying to make sure they don't hear or read anything negative ....wait till they grow up, what then.

This Guardian article says the trial would begin on Friday (obviously a mistake) and then resume for 2 days next week, with a final hearing at the end of the month.

Peculiar that no-one from Kate or Gerry's family seems to have gone to Portugal to support Kate.

Only Emma Loach and Susan Hubbard.

SH is an even 'looser canon' than her daughter!

Interviewer to Mrs Susan Healy: "did you ask your daughter if she had killed your grandaughter?"

Susan Healy: "NO i DID NOT! Why would i?"

One can almost - but not quite - feel sorry for Kate with a mother like hers.
 
I can't readily find the interview that JM mentions but here's one I hadn't seen before. I love the bit where she assures us that Kate and Gerry will answer all questions put to them. My elbow!

It was on an American TV interview and Ma Healy says at the end "can i just ask everybody to support K&
G"
and the interviewer (not fooled) says '"you just did"

The still at the end says, "How did I do? Was I o.k.?" to me. It has never been about Madeleine; she is all about me, me, me.
