PRESS RELEASE: MADELEINE MCCANN
As of 10.30am this morning I received a call from Portugal advising me that Robert Murat has consented to me digging up his driveway to ascertain whether the remains of MADELEINE MCCANN lie buried beneath it. A formal letter will be emailed to me today. Mr Murats attorney has advised that as part of the negotiations, Mr Murat will undertake to withdraw all charges against me for trespassing. Legal documentation would need to be formalized. A third party is currently acting as an intermiadiary in the negotiations and will own the media rights to the entire operation. They have advised me that they will put a helicopter in the air above Murats house to protect the airspace from rival newspaper groups. It is estimated that the excavation of the Murat driveway will be viewed by over 1 billion people over a week...

It would put an end to the saga but it would create a morbid media circus.

I would have been much happier with the press release if he'd said that there would be a police presence at the dig, just in case it did become a crime scene.
Instead, he's hyping it up media-wise.

I think there should be a suitably qualified and experienced team of forensic officers there. And one wonders which media group is paying out for the helicopter.

think the same - either sb is talking out of his arse -or theres something going on that we dont know about - lets be honest here rm was a suspect as was the mcanns at one time its about time - the uk brought its finest over in the name of super pooches

My worry is that they won't find a body (of course not!) but do magically find hairs, or a shoe, or other dna....

sorry to say but this seems like someone wanting their five mins of fame not - someone else cashing in on poor madeleine - lets get this streight if anyone wanted to clear their names they would be hammering on the pjs door and asking them to get sy and its finest over and do a job they arfe TRAINED to do - not sb trampeling all over this - sorry its a money making thing - shame on them

Having experienced Mr Birch ranting and raving on another forum, it's very difficult for me to take anything he says seriously.

I'm sure that he mentioned on his Facebook page some time ago that Kate had phoned him - no, not to call him an effing t*sser - but to agree with what he wanted to do.

Mr Birch reminds me of an attention-seeking child I knew once; she came out with all sorts of incredible stories without thinking ahead that she wouldn't be able to substantiate them. It started out with silly but harmless things but escalated when she was in her teens to repeated claims of abuse and / or rape.

Very interesting video. Do you think many people will see it? I hope so.

Didn't Jane tanner state that the 'abductor' was walking towards Robert murats home in the beginning.

Oh golly, now I'm more confused than ever. First off, I thought I would be watching and listening to someone who resembled a complete eccentric, a mad professor type. That was not the case at all.

Secondly, he has a sour relationship with Mr Amaral as well as SY and the British and Portuguese Governments. Whilst I can understand SY and the respective Governments, I cannot fathom his lack of interest from Mr Amaral - what does GA have to lose?

Thirdly, and perhaps this is just me being thick here, but if the claimed burial site has now had a 'pointless bit of a driveway' (or whatever similar words he used) built on top of it, how does that not throw the spotlight back on Robert Murat if there was a child's body under there? Mr Birch seems convinced that its Gerry McCann who dug the plot and speaks about a 'second sighting of Gerry - as well as the Smith sighting - that is being ignored, by two men on a balcony who claim they saw Gerry very near to Murat's property.

The fourth point is he is convinced that DNA in the car was deliberate by the PJ!

And then how does he know how many files Theresa May is not disclosing? He talks of 4, but how does he know its 4?

Other than that, he spoke eloquently I thought, made some good points (whether you agree with them or not) and seems determined to achieve his goal of digging the drive and is even prepared for the consequences if he has got this wrong. He speaks of other experts who back his claim that there is something significant on the scan.

The email he had from an officer at Leics Police - the one line reponse as he referred to it - can he produce that?

Anyway, its worth pursuing I feel. If Madeleine did die and was buried she has to be somewhere and a private garden, someone else's private garden, would be the ideal place if that garden could be accessed without being seen, could be dug without being heard and is secluded enough to make the hiding place the best it can be.

But I don't understand the building of the drive on top; not unless McCann and Murat were in this together at the time.
