George Osborne says welfare claimants will have to work for their dole.

On the News this morning it appears that some Romanians who had their Fare paid by the Government have found their way back to the U.K. to beg,!!

They knew that would happen but they still paid their fare .


The UK must be the mugs off Europe .

I agree Kitti , in fact it makes me angry that Cameron still spouts nonsense about trying to get more Human rights for the British.....just leave the EU NOW and take back our right to govern ourselves. The EU is becoming more and more like a dictatorship and to wait until 2017 before a referendum will only make the situation worse. Secretly Cameron doesn't want to leave , he is such a coward when it comes to real decision making, he just works around the periphery.

He hasn't engaged his brain regarding making people work form the dole....



First off all ....making them go to the job Center every day....has he been to one recently.....it's packed and queues outside ....bus fare.....they are going to have to pay for them to attend every week...£20 pw say....government are going to have to pay that.


30 hours per week....could be 5 days a week......there going to have to have their fare payed to and from wherever they send them....could be £25 pw.......government are going to have to pay that..

Morning kitti, this is a Conservative Party Conference announcement to boost their vote when the election comes . Same as Theresa May now saying they will tackle Human Rights....after the Election .  That Graduate went to Court because she didn't want to work in Poundland for a few days....Snotty Cow!!! Human Rights upheld her complaint so if Osborne thinks this will go through smoothly he is mistaken. I do agree that the unemployed should help in the Community but as you say, to expect them to sign in every day is ludicrous. I remember many years ago my Uncle , a Painter and Decorator assigned to work p/time near where he lived in homes where the tenants were elderly.

I have heard that there are not enough computers IN JOBCENTRES,THE DWP BUILDING HAS ONLY GOT TWO TERMINALS,IF SAY 100 PEOPLE TURN UP EVERY DAY, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO GET ENOUGH TIME ON THE TERMINALS?
THEY HAVE SACKED A LOT OF JOB CENTRE STAFF,ITS GOING TO BE LESS STAFF DOING MORE.
