Re: Portugal Police Restart Maddie Search - Mirror
Jerry Lawton has tweeted that Clarence Mitchell is quoted as saying: "Anything that helps the search for Madeleine is an important step forward".
I have to wonder if Kate McCann will now answer the 48 questions.

Doubtful, they'll avoid anything that puts them in the light of being suspects.
They should do their own reconstruction now with what the T9 said they did vs what the Crimewatch said they did.
Somewhere back in the day I saw a computer thing, that showed all the comings and goings that they claimed to have made and it was like a circus.

Re: Portugal Police Restart Maddie Search - Mirror
The Mirror story is now online. One line from the article: "It is believed that Portuguese police are now convinced the McCanns were not involved in their daughter's disappearance and are ready to probe the abduction theory."
Does Clarence Mitchell write for the Mirror?

Re: Portugal Police Restart Maddie Search - Mirror
Maybe they confessed to SY they made things up - tearfully! - or subconsciously were influenced by Tanner's sighting etc, so that's why they misled the investigation...
It makes them horrible parents and shows them to have poor character, ( to put it mildly) but not killers - and therefore it must be an abductor, or something.
they might've said the PJ and especially Amaral had such a hard on for us we were afraid to tell the truth or to go back to reconstruct etc and we were all confused on the night, later when we remembered better we were scared to be arrested so we kept the stories up - and SY might say, it doesn't matter - never mind; you suffered enough, you didn't do it, so we'll just put that aside til we find what happened to Maddie...
hmm

Re: Portugal Police Restart Maddie Search - Mirror
Maybe they want to arrest the McCanns but the British police want to pass that task over to the 'nasty pj' so that they don't look the bad guys? Wishful thinking?!

Re: Portugal Police Restart Maddie Search - Mirror
Right....so if we put all these things together....
The PJ to reopen the case due NEW...not OLD...evidence SY found in the files regarding the Smith family seeing a man...resembling Gerry but we won't go there, SY haven't, supposedly abducting a LIFELESS, or SY would prefer, SLEEPING child?
The same evidence which has been sitting in the files for neally 7 years and the PJ new about?
Then we have this from the mercury....
The Mercury asked the Met if Roma camps were being looked at for potential leads. However, the force did not comment.
The only thing that is premeditated in this case is what the mccanns and their PR are doing at the moment .

Re: Portugal Police Restart Maddie Search - Mirror
It's difficult to see whats going on here.
If this is a positive move, I would guess that there needs to be co-operation with Portugal. I do not know the legal issues but I imagine it is not as simple as SY arresting suspects in the UK, charging them then proceeding with a trial there. So perhaps this needs to be done for correct procedural purposes.
That said, my gin bottle is still locked away, I see no reason to dust it down and toast SY.
Hold on to your seats, there will be spinning like we have never experienced before, I think even Clarence will be dizzy.
This is it, what it is remains to be seen, but the runners are on the last lap. Who knows who will win.
