Re: Andy Redwood...?
I would think that anyone who writes to prince charles spouting off about a Maddie suspect there is a high probability that person is a complete loon.
As for Andy Redwood he has taken on a case that some may consider incredibly complex but anyone taking a fresh look at the evidence (such as we've seen) would surely form an opinion quite quickly that the mccanns and some of the group with them are not telling the truth.
Maybe he has to handle 'them' with kid gloves and hope that something gives,he will only get away with that for a limited period until he has to push things on to the next level or conceade that there isnt enough to go on and wind it up.
He has a period coming up through the trial were he can just watch and then he really has to keep the momentum going while the mccanns are on the ropes.

Well, it all seems recent news are probably based on the same tip, more or less. A man or a woman is not going to change much in this saga.mossman wrote:the first few lines of the link in this thread says

Re: Andy Redwood...?
I think Redwood has either been told not to find anything which could incriminate the McCanns or is incredibly inept....my vote is A. SY had the groundwork already done by the Portugese Police , the team of 37 Detectives and 5 clerical staff , after over 2 years could only come up with an efit that was apparently drawn by someone else years before.!!!!!!
If the Government is pulling the strings , why would they agree to spend more money on AN INVESTIGATION? That suggested that they were confident that some evidence had been found.....what evidence is that then???

OK,well the majority of members here have gone for, B) A rather pathetic figure just doing as he is told by the champagne swilling corrupt establishment.
A few 'wishful thinkers' have gone for C)
And having gone initially for A) I have now changed my mind several times in the last few days having been the occasional victim of the ludicrous spin taking place in the press, which has now convinced me that DCI Andy Redwood is a genius and truly is as cunning as the most senior professor of cunning at 'cunning university.com'
He is biding his time and will gradually turn the screw on the mccanns and their obnoxious friends until such time as at least one of them will collapse in an exhausted heap of their own spew.
DCI Andy Redwood deserves our full support until such time as we know otherwise.

Re: Andy Redwood...?
I agree with 'mossman' and 'lioned's' most recent post... just for the record. I didn't think so initially but I felt that Redwood's vehement comment: 'this case has gone on long enough', or similar words, was spoken from the heart, and without cover up.

Well the cross dresser has not been publicised yet.....so everyone is right.......it will be a man-woman chief suspect, once tractor man is declared no longer of interest

I have considered this option, Lioned, but decided that now's the time to increase the pressure, and not after the fact, when everything's done and dusted, and the gruesome twosome are standing before the Queen.Lioned wrote:OK,well the majority of members here have gone for, B) A rather pathetic figure just doing as he is told by the champagne swilling corrupt establishment.

If I'm wrong about the whitewash, which I absolutely don't believe I am, then DCI Redwood will have the last laugh with my purest of pleasure, and I will instantly become a huge admirer of his slick detective work. But that's just a pipe dream that I fear will never come to fruition, hence I feel compelled to keep piling on the pressure now, when it counts the most, just as I believe some of the press are finally doing.

Re: Andy Redwood...?
I didn't officially vote, but maybe you can tell by my latest post that I am going with C. Redwood didn't get to where he is without having some type of intuition. I think that all seasoned investigators will have this 6th sense. Redwood has seen the way that the PJ and the UK Liasion Officers did not fare well with the mighty McCanns, thus he knows he must take a different approach. Unfortunately, this case may never be solved, but I think Redwood, like the PJ and UK Liason Officers knows that Madeleine is dead and who is responsible.tanszi wrote:ok Lioned I will do what we must do in times of distress and I throw my full weight and support behind dci redwood. pennylane , its until such time as we know otherwise. what I think of him is well known as a tortoise, but I will put that aside and support him until I KNOW otherwise. My full support is in him finding what happened to Madeleine McCann, not in him pussyfooting and snivelling around her parents or hanging it on some one already dead.

What has moved me away from the 'whitewash' theory for the moment at least is the intensity of the spin !
Why would they need all this spin if it was going to be a whitewash ?
Its easy to wash it away very quickly as i have said before a number of times all they have to do is blame Hewletts Gypsy friend.Sure us internet nutters will cry foul but how can we ever prove otherwise.

If Redwood's playing a slick game to ensnare the dodgy duo, he won't mind us doubters. It's the final analysis that will make him or break him anyway.

I have no doubt the police can spin stories when it suits them but i think most of what we are reading in the rags is coming from the pink freak.

I'm not so sure, Lioned. Tractor man is conveniently dead, and that makes me very suspicious of SY. What did we all say yonks ago, that SY would be looking for a dead paedo! TM aren't making this up.... it's really happening. I think there's a leak and someone's exposing this farce of an investigation (jmo).

I think exactly the same. It would be lovely if we were totally wrong and off track but I fear that the paint and brushes are sweeping frantically. I would be really happy to be proved wrong, but shan't hold my breath
