Re: Madeleine McCann's fate may never be revealed 'after chief suspect takes secret to his grave' /The Mirror
why are all the chief suspects dead? are they being eliminated one by one? if so, who is eliminating them? and why are they being eliminated? what do they know? is it something we should know? is this why politicians want to regulate the press?
its a bit of a worry.

It is off course possible that the Portuguese are just pissed off with all the bad publicity and with the underlying critisism and with a foreign Police force pushing their weight around their patch.
They've done their job and believe the mccanns done it.They have no new leads of any significance so it would be very convenient to find a dead patsy and wrap it up in ribbons.
All reaks of desperation to me.
Tractor mans upset for getting the sack so he goes and nicks a child and kills her, hides the body !
Give me a break.

Oh dear! Yet another chief suspect takes secret to his grave. Oh well ... meanwhile the show must go on.

Yes, until there is proof of death we'll be looking at a photo of a wide eyed toddler in a red dress.T4two wrote:Oh dear! Yet another chief suspect takes secret to his grave. Oh well ... meanwhile the show must go on.
Seems like SY needing clues as much as they do a resurrection of the giant reward for information might be timely.

Poor man, from the Cabo Verde, so he would have been appropriately swarthy and foreign looking. Nice to see that standards are being maintained.

Just when you think things can't get any more ridiculous, they get totally 'ludicrous'. Do they truly expect people to believe all this absolute bullpoo?

This tractor man story has served two and perhaps three purposes.
1. It has buried the ST article and the information contained within it. OK, not for some people, but for joe public, that is now yesterdays news.
2. The libel trial resumption date draws nearer, so distraction tactics are needed.
3. The impression is given in the articles that the "leak" has come from the Portugese police. We now learn from a more credible source the new team have not commenced work as yet. Discrediting the Portugese
police and the way they work before they have even re-commenced their investigation.
Job done Clarence Mitchell.

Re: Madeleine McCann's fate may never be revealed 'after chief suspect takes secret to his grave' /The Mirror
It would be a shame if once again for the nth time Madeleine takes a back seat to politics spin and PR. I actually feel more positive that we will get at least some answers this time around. not sure why but I had a feeling that this would be the right time to check back in and it has proven to be so. We can ignore the media selection of which story to highlight - it's only important that SY and the PJ are paying attention and I think they are.cass wrote:mossman stinks doesnt it - i dont think we will ever find out the truth ever of what went on during that holiday - poor madeleine deserves the truth and sorry but i think until this goverment and portugal work to both want the truth we will be here in another 6 years time

Cass, yes it's truly terrible. The spin does not happen without the parents knowledge. They ok this, in the name of their daughter. So many other lives destroyed in the process.
What gives me hope this time is that the whole thing has become so unbelievable, they could not be making it up with a view to the public accepting it. Surely not.

That's just it though kitti. It's gone beyond crazy. This is not information in the PJ files, where one needs to take time to read and understand the information and make an informed decision.
This is being publicised by SY, every media outlet, for the world to see and hear. It's touted as fact. It's gone to far.

Re: Madeleine McCann's fate may never be revealed 'after chief suspect takes secret to his grave' /The Mirror
That's quite a match up.
Of course, by the time Smith's did this efit they had seen Gerry's photo a number of times and that could clearly influence their recollection of the person they thought they saw, subliminally if you know of a person who looked like the person you saw you could be drawing on your recollection of that person rather than relying on your sighting.
Still, it's eerie in its similarity. They could be brothers.

Madeleine McCann Suspect 'Died In 2009', Portuguese Reports Say, Family Say It's 'Pure Speculation'
The Huffington Post UK/PA | Posted: 31/10/2013 08:44 GMT | Updated: 31/10/2013 09:32 GMT
http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/10/31/madeleine-mccann-suspect-dead_n_4180312.html?utm_hp_ref=uk
The Madeleine McCann mystery has taken a new twist after it was reported that a suspect in the case had died in a tractor accident four years ago.
The 40-year-old man may have been looking for revenge after being fired from the Ocean Club holiday complex in Praia de Luz where the McCanns were staying when their daughter disappeared on May 3, 2007, Portuguese paper Correio da Manha said.
The missing girl's parents said the reports were "pure speculation".
Clarence Mitchell, who represents Kate and Gerry McCann, said: "We are aware of reports in the Portuguese press.
"They are pure speculation and the McCanns are not going to give a running commentary on every new report."
The McCanns dismissed the reports as 'pure speculation'
It is claimed that suspicions surrounding the former Ocean Club employee arose during a review by a judicial police team in Porto and led Portuguese authorities to reopen the case last week.
The man is reported to have been living in Lagos, just 15 minutes away from the holiday complex, at the time of the then three-year-old's disappearance.
Correio da Manha claimed that he had left the Ocean Club on bad terms and said that his possible motives for snatching Madeleine are under investigation.
It also reported that he was not on the list of employees given to police during the initial investigation because he was not working at the resort when the toddler disappeared.
Earlier this week, the newspaper reported that Portuguese investigators believe Madeleine is probably dead and are searching for her body.
Portuguese police have declined to comment on any of the claims due to a secrecy order relating to the investigation.
The latest reports come while a libel trial bought by the McCanns against a former Portuguese police officer who accused them of covering up their daughter's death is still ongoing.
Scotland Yard has issued fresh appeals to the public in recent weeks, releasing two e-fit images of a man who was seen carrying a child towards the beach the night Madeleine went missing.
Unquote.
It appears Clarence is still in the propaganda seat..........

How ironic that he of all people should decry as pure speculation anything to do with "suspects"

Why not? They do other things when they are running!
Joking aside though, they always comment on cases where blond children are found with gypsies. However, their comments on such cases seem to backfire on them when it is proved the children were not stolen after all.
Oh dear, yes perhaps best if they just shut up.

Re: Madeleine McCann's fate may never be revealed 'after chief suspect takes secret to his grave' /The Mirror
It is quite obvious that the McCanns' claim that tractorman is "clear speculation" is because they don't want to give any credibility to the likelihood that Madeleine is dead. Their response is expected of those who have insisted that Madeleine was abducted AND has not come to any harm from the very begginning.
I find their response very suspicious from a criminal stand point. They will comment on every sighting and gypsy girl found, because it fits their fairy tale of Madeleine being alive. But when an alternate theory is presented (one that doesn't even point to them as suspects) they dismiss it immideately because the theory would imply that Madeleine is dead. And if she is dead, it is there fault at some level.

If she is dead then nobody will need a wristband, luggage label, poster, prayer card, running vest or anything else from the little online shop of horrors.

My take on it is that the PJ don't really believe that tractor man is really in the frame, but it does give them the cover to actually search for a body without having too say that you know who are involved. Also piles a lot of pressure on any "friends" that know what will happen if they do find anything.

Agreed, both the PJ and SY know that tractor man is not in the frame, but he is a good diversion for the time being. Their response (or lack thereof) speaks volumes, IMO.SteveT wrote:My take on it is that the PJ don't really believe that tractor man is really in the frame, but it does give them the cover to actually search for a body without having too say that you know who are involved.
