The state of English Premier league !

Less than one third of players in the premier league are English !

I will post later (when i find it) the stats for each team but i know Arsenal and Chelsea is about 27% and Man U do quite well at around 55%.

So my guess is while the league is so cash rich in TV money it is probably easier for the success hungry clubs to go buy ready made talent from abroad than to spend the time nurturing youngsters.

I dont think it is quite as simple as that as i know some clubs still have a scouting system to find good youngsters but i wonder if enough emphasis is placed on bringing up home grown talent.
