Imagine that - the dogs solved the mystery - so someone did "ask the dogs" (A "journalist raised the alarm with police".) Now, if the journalists in the U.K. would only do their job instead of regurgitating Mitchell's fantasies.

It's a bittersweet story - with justice served after five years.
And I bet it's a bandwagon that 'a friend of the family' was itching to jump on personally, with the usual quotes.
One can almost imagine his draft copy:

Kate and Gerry are delighted that a murder mystery was solved as a consequence of their German Crimewatch Appeal.
Thanks to an important phone call and some specially trained cadaver do ........................ OH BUGGER.

The article was first published at 15:16 and up-dated at 15:47 but only two comments passed moderation and they were submitted 5-6 hours ago. I have to wonder how many didn't "pass". Seems odd.

Mine didn't, and it was very polite and nice. It said how this could bring fresh hope to the poor McCanns, seeing that the case was solved by using a cadaver sniffing dog, when the McCanns had previously mistakenly believed that they were "incredibly unreliable". So there is hope for solving the Maddie case yet!
