Why doesn't Britain.....the second largest Donor to the EU threaten to opt out of the Union unless the Human Rights bill is scrapped. We seem to be the only Country having problems, are there no criminals in the rest of the EU who claim Human Rights.?

In the run up to the last general election Cameron promised to scrap the present human rights legislation, and draw up a British Bill of Human Rights. he was aware, he could not have been unaware at the time, that while that might get votes, the European Union would not allow it.

Now he is promising an in-out referendum after negotiations if he gets re-elected, and I have no faith in that promise either.

In the meantime, we will continue, courtesy of the ECHR and our spineless politicians to put up with foreign born criminals kept at taxpayers expense, and then given legal aid to come up with pressing reasons why they cannot be deported. If you have ever watched the series Border Force, even when caught they are simply let go again, while in Australia which is not bound by the ECHR they send them home on the next flight.

I watched one TV Programme a while ago where Container Lorries were stopped and searched as they entered Britain. There were illegals, hiding in them , but the Lorry Driver was not charged, and Border Patrol even allowed a Woman who had got a job illegally in a chinese take-away to stay, because she had nowhere else to go.!!! This take away employed 12 staff and 4 were illegals but they were allowed to stay and the Owner did not have to close down.

A lorry driver friend who we fish with, contacted the British Police on hearing noises from his trailer while stopped for a wee in a lay by. He had picked up the sealed trailer in Calais after delivering a load in France. The police arrived with customs and opened the trailer and found 22 illegal immigrants inside who had cut through the roof while it was in the compound in Calais. His firm were, iirc eventually fined £2000 for each person found.

No wonder we have no control over illegals, Border Agency admit they have lost track of hundreds. Because the Belgians will not check on ID's at their end, we don't have a clue who is getting off at St. Pancras and mingling with the crowd.
