If this is true it represents almost a seismic shift among the Kingdom's ruling class. When I was working there, The Soviets and the Chinese were regarded as even worse than the great Satan's of other faiths. Even Jews were preferable, in that at least they had a God even though they had the wrong one. Of course we all do except them.

They have always in the past refused to do any business at all with such countries. The threat of Chechnya sounds about right. Do as we say or we'll set the dog on you is what that sounds like. Again I can't see Putin reacting to threat of that nature.

More alarming is Saudi Arabia's rulers coming out and openly trying to influence world events especially with Iran on the doorstep as it were.
