Paddy Clancy (Irish Mirror)
I've just found the article below, on Jill Havern's forum.
http://www.irishmirror.ie/news/news-opinion/paddy-clancy-search-madeleine-mccann-3268714
I was livid when I read the article, but I soon calmed down, when I read the comment underneath the article.

Re: Paddy Clancy (Irish Mirror)
A very early report from the glorious Mr Clancy.
http://newsoutlines.blogspot.co.uk/2007/05/maddies-irish-holiday.html
At least there was an excuse for his lack of knowledge then - including the mention of great-uncle Hughie who died in 1999!
There's also the mention of Donegal being a regular Easter trip. For once I actually believe Kate when she says in her book that they had never been there before as a family.
I'm not convinced they were there in 2007 either but that's another story!
Is there someone who can post the comments on the latest article here before they're whooshed?

It's clear that the writer of this article has done no research at all. May I recommend this report by a retired police officer as a start?

Perhaps you should also be asking why Leicestershire Police deliberately withheld evidence from the Portuguese; why health records and bank statements requested by the Portuguese were withheld; and why Madeleine's mother refused to co-operate with the investigation that was trying to find out what happened to her child.

I am extremely sorry that you are so badly informed about this case and yet dare to express such derogatory comments against people whose work you are totally unfamiliar with.
I understand there is an emotional side to your prose, but you should treat with equal respect those that you pity as those you don't know.
Madeleine McCann is missing. Her family is probably suffering for that circumstance. But the primary people that boycotted the criminal investigation on her disappearance are the ones whose responsibility was to have cared for her the most.
As a person that was on the frontline for her search for over a week, while her parents played tennis, went jogging & gave press releases, I find your commentary hurtful and inappropriate.

Re: Paddy Clancy (Irish Mirror)
As far a I know he comes from Donegal originally, hence his obsession with Joes bar and the Donegal visit in general.
I would call him a muppet but that would be unkind to The Muppets who are likeable, loveable creatures.

Re: Paddy Clancy (Irish Mirror)
I have heard that Donegal people are cliquey and look out for each other.
I would be very interested to see a photo of this Joe Peoples who is frequently quoted with nausea inducing statements about the McCanns.
The statement that he is Eileen McCann's tenant - nearly 50 years after she left Ireland - seems unlikely to me.
I doubt that he actually exists.

Hi NBY, I've just googled Joe Peoples in Donegal and there he is in Donegal:
Mr. Joe Peoples. Director of Service. Donegal County Council. Water and Environment Directorate. County House. Lifford. Co. Donegal.
No photograph, it might not be the same man, but a Joe Peoples does exist...

There's also a funeral director in St Johnston called Joe Peoples so he's a very busy man if he does all three jobs!

Whether this is still current I don't know but there certainly was a funeral directors run by Joe Peoples at one time.

Looks like Joe Peoples has been investigated before and Cerebralis (whoever that is) has tweeted about it. I vaguely remember a Cerebralis from the old 3As, anti IIRC.
