She isn't saying though that Dutroux was responsible, just that dreadful things like this are known to happen and we must all be vigilant.

Another person who should have researched the McCann case more thoroughly.

Oh dear, its difficult to know where to start with this nonsense but I’ll give it a go

1. There is absolutely no evidence that Madeleine McCann was abducted. There is, however, evidence that she died in the apartment

2. “British police are now taking the lead in the Madeleine McCann abduction investigation”. No they’re not because they can’t; they have no jurisdiction in Portugal

3. “They are searching for a man who broke into Portuguese resorts in 2004 and 2006”. No, they are searching for a man who was breaking and entering between 2004 and 2010. Try doing some research instead of copying and pasting from tabloid newspapers

4. “crime scene similarities to Madeleine’s abduction”. What similarities? The man that the Met are looking for broke in and stole things and sometimes sexually assaulted a child between 7 and 10 years old. Nothing was stolen from the apartment in which 3 year old Madeleine was staying and never before or after did the Met’s suspect abduct anyone

5. “I don’t know the geography of Portugal, but I know paedophiles”. In that case you’ll know that in the vast majority of cases the perpetrators of paedophilia are nearly always the immediate family or someone that is known to them, and that the Dutroux case was exceptional.

6. There is no evidential link between Madeleine McCann’s disappearance and paedophilia

BTW I wonder if all this Press pays royalties to the McCanns for printing the photo of Madeleine in the red dress.  

I think press have to pay, when ever they use the copyright picture. The Times even wrote once, years ago that mccann want to start to charge for use of Maddies photos.
(every other parent with missing kids would be happy if they would get a photo to the front page even once, if money, even pay for it. ...wasn't the donations given for that?)

Morning weissnicht what will the McCanns do when finally a line is drawn over Madeleine's disappearance ? Unless Madeleine's body is found ( not many think she is alive) they cannot be charged with anything.  A few years ago I was travelling by coach to an Airport , got chatting to the Lady next to be and it turned out shelives in Portugal and has a Friend who was a friend of Mrs Fenn. The Portugese believe Madeleine died in 5a and her body was thrown over cliffs, also her Friend said the McCanns were called by the OC to attend to their children on another night because a Resident had heard them crying. I think it is going to be an unsolved mystery like Jon Benet the American girl.
