A 24 hr Find Madeleine campaign to remove videos that did not show them in a good light.
Dear Members,
We are calling for your support in targeting You Tube to have vile material removed from their website. We don't just want to send one or two complaints, we want to send a bulk within a 24 hour period. Our target for the 24 hour complaints period is Tuesday 26th February. On that day, with everything in place, we would like as many posters as possible to flag the material and send an email of complaint.
We were directed to the You Tube site a few days ago, regarding a really vile piece of video footage. We were astonished that You Tube allowed this to remain on their site and be viewed. In our opinion that sends the wrong message to millions of viewers. The video was of Madeleine talking from beyond the grave, asking Kate why she had killed her. Then we noticed other footage, just as vile, accusing Kate of killing Madeleine. It appears that in allowing this material to be viewed, You Tube supports it. People are openly accusing Kate and Gerry of killing Madeleine without any concrete evidence. What is more disturbing is that by their actions these people are promoting hate behaviour towards the McCanns. You Tube's inability to effectively judge material before allowing publication on their website, is allowing people to spread hate and lies about the case. Whatever happened to human decency and the principle of 'innocent till proven guilty in a court of law'? You Tube should review their publications criteria regarding this type of material because, currently, it's a free for all.
Here is what we are hoping to achieve with your help.
*Find as much unacceptable video footage on You Tube as possible and compile a list. At the bottom of this email are some of the links to footage we have found so far.
*Encourage as many people as possible to register at You Tube for the sole purpose of flagging this material and then e-mailing them a complaint.
*As already stated, we are hoping to make our voices heard over a 24 hour period, so as to target youtube with many hundreds/thousands of complaints. The date is set for Tuesday 26 February 2008.

I read a similar report yesterday weissnicht and agree that the internet now needs to have guidelines, , not just youtube, facebook, twitter etc need to clean up their act , there have been some vile comments and accusations made by these anonymous morons.

The Mcann appeal happened in February, how come we missed it LOL

Thank you for your informative post. I can honestly say, that in all my dealings on forums, regarding the McCanns, the hate posts have come from the McCanns supporters.

The venom that has been hurled at anyone who says anything that portrays the McCanns in a bad light, has been disgusting. Yes I've seen the McCann critics, use expletives, when they've been discussing this issue, but they're not making hate posts nor are they hurling insults, towards posters who have a different view to them.

A lot of videos disappeared due to the influence the McCanns supporters had over the posters of the videos, but they were reposted, by different posters, who will not be dictated to, by supporters of the McCanns.

It's the McCann way ...... ban, censor, sue, threaten, remove, delete, take away freedom of speech, take away freedom to read, see and hear.
These past seven years it's been like living in North Korea.

To urge fanatics to trawl the net looking for stuff which might offend the McCanns or put them in a bad light (as illustrated by McCann libel witness, family member and personal web monitor Michael Wright) smacks of paranoia to the max.
Innocent people never resort to such Draconian absurdities. They don't need to.

And if there's one thing that justice seekers learned quite early on, it's this:
The minute something appears, save it. And share it. Because if you don't, it might suddenly and mysteriously disappear.

Just thinking out loud, wasn't Michael Wright trawling the internet to inform the McCanns??? This is dated February , AFTER the Trial date 7th January was cancelled without reason, nor another date fixed. With all this written slander, what are the McCanns proposing to do with it?

He said his niece and her husband, had access to high profile people, who the ordinary person didn't have access to. He said that they had called in favours from these people. He then asked for donations, to help the McCanns pay their living expenses in PDL and their bills that were mounting up at their Rothley home.

I don't know how Kennedy had the nerve to make those comments in that interview and I'm not surprised the video disappeared and never returned.

Yes, I agree that much information has been successfully (and rather inexplicably) deleted. I recall the clip you refer to. I really hope somebody got that and has kept it safe somewhere.

It was a real tragedy that 'TC' got its hands on 3A's archives, there must have been a wealth of information lost when that happened. Scary!

The  reason  i  have posted  this is.......alot  off people  dont  know  about  this  and  dont realise  that  the  mccanns   are  devious  and nasty.


Using....and  i mean  using  michael  wright  to  instruct  gullable people to  trawl  the  internet  to  do  the mccanns  dirty work  for  them.

In 2008  alot  of  people believed  the mccanns  and didnt realise  they were being used by them, they did it because  they thought anti mccanns were liers  and  nasty rotten trolls but in truth,  michael  wright, who by the way, a few  years  ago  i  got  an email  from  someone i didnt know who  informed me in one sentence.....michael wright is  a  troll, hes  getting videos  deleted on youtube, hes  doing  the  mccanns  dirty work.....yeah right  i  thought....and  now  look.


I bet  i  know   whats  going on in their mind today, the  same  thing  that  went  through  their  minds  7  years  ago  when  they  wanted google to put a  /  through  one  off their  O  .....they were  refused back  then.

Yes, released by the McCanns, also the one of Maddie falling on the plane steps and cutting her leg. Yet their supporters then call them "vile videos" and demand that they are removed. Although I do have to agree that the one of Gerry swearing in front of a load of little kids, well that IS pretty vile.

I think its good to go back sometimes and get the actual facts of what was said, what was done, just to remind ourselves of the depths they would go to to stifle information. And like chrissie and kitti say, there will be people who have never seen any of this.

I copied it from someone's Facebook that is friends with me but may not be friends with her so now my friends can read it and copy and pastes it so there friends can read and copy and paste and so ....that is why it's good to regurgitate old things, it's not only the papers that can do that.

You're absolutely correct Kitti, it's good to remind people new to the case of what has gone on before.

I also feel that we on this forum, who have followed the case for years, should take care that we post correctly, at least to the best of our knowledge.  Yet, still we have a statement made AGAIN today about the trial being 'cancelled without reason'.  This is simply not true.  The reasons for the postponement are well known and have been discussed multiple times on multiple threads on this very forum!!

Sometimes, it's so exasperating...........
