So finally we are starting to learn that full covering is a two edged sword. This tactic has been used by terrorists for some time to escape justice. This as usual turns on their own translation, and understanding of the Qu'ran. Yes it is unislamic to kill messengers, and the two press men were, as reporters messengers. Just for a moment, if we accept that they are right and we are wrong. Why did Allah create us in the first place? Why were we not all born into the world of the true believer? Taking your second point, it all seems to be part and parcel of guaranteeing paradise. coupled with taking passages in their Qu'ran too literally. I don't think a university education has any bearing on it. Especially not in this day and age when university degrees have been so downgraded thanks to A. Blair's wheeze of everybody and his brother going to University and as like as not coming out with a Mickey Mouse degree.

As for your first point, it amounts to sodomy. There are men who are not only paedophiles but who prefer little boys as well. I can't say I even begin to understand them, but they do exist. Yes it is Badboy, but then again so is most of what they do, and legitimise it in their own minds at least. Some of the excuses I've heard in order to justify this or that make your head spin. There is the old story of the Aga Khan who among other things enjoyed Champagne. One of his aides was asked one day how he could drink champagne in defiance of the prophet's dictates. The serious reply was that in his mouth it turned to water. Look at the number of them who own racehorses, when gambling is forbidden. Whatever they want to do, they will find a verse or two or a Hadith that can be twisted to suit.

Absolutely Badboy, They have produced a map of their immediate objectives. The Iberian peninsular, along with Northern Africa. North East into Azerbaijan. They have it all planned. One of the beliefs (one of the more convenient beliefs) is that land, once ruled over by Muslims remains Muslim for eternity. So that includes large swathes of Spain among other things. The opinion of the people who ruled these lands before they were taken by Muslim armies seems to be unimportant

I see the killing of a man who went there purely to provide what aid he could has prompted outrage throughout the world. I don't gamble but I would be prepared in this case to lay a large bet that these terrorists don't give a damn about that. It took me some time to find out where Kobani was, until I found it was also called Ayn al Arab. Whatever it is called. It seems the mot serious incursion yet. The Turks are constantly threatening reprisals, and it almost seems as if IS are trying to draw Turkey into it. They appear to be contemptuous of the air strikes and this US led coalition does seem to have some serious flaws in the overall strategy. For example, Canada has now joined the coalition for up to 6 months. What do the Canadians think is going to happen then?

Certainly every success they have even if they are driven back later seems to be acting as a recruiting agent for them. Most western governments and many of the Middle East ones regard IS/ISIL/ISIS as the most serious terror threat yet with the capacity and the money to organise terror attacks in the West. Whether one agrees with that or not, they are far too potent a force now to be treated with levity.

Many of the Imams in the west are denouncing them especially the callous disregard they have for human life. That very denunciation may be a two edged sword so to speak.
