Regarding Snr Amaral's Assets....What the McCanns Want

I've just been digging in the archives, on the Joana Morais website, to try and find information about the book banning case. While I was looking I found the articles below, dating back to 2010, regarding assets that the McCanns wanted to steal from Snr Amaral and his family.

While I don't know if they still want these assets, knowing how ruthless the McCanns are, where financial gain is concerned, I'm presuming they still want the assets.

oice Over reporter: The McCann couple ask for 1,2 million Euros to Gonçalo Amaral, for the contents of the book “The Truth of the Lie”. The process is ongoing, however in legal terms and in order to guarantee that the former Judiciary Police Inspector possessions are not lost, an apprehension of assets was ordered. Nevertheless, since those are common to his wife, the seizure of the said assets was refused. Currently, Maddie's parents demand that Gonçalo Amaral and his wife execute a separation of assets.


As far as I know 1.2 million Euros were sequestered on the demand of the McCanns and have been accumulating interest. When the Amarals split maybe his wife had the house, no money because Amaral moved in with his Father.
