I wonder if pink will become fashionable for boys again after seeing George's outfit!

Morning NBY, I think he is gorgeous and it's good that he is dressed in ordinary clothes and seen to be behaving just like any other child. Remember the old days when Princes and Princesses were swathed in long satin dresses ? LOL

You're a night owl like me Panda.
I know that it was customary for babies to wear dresses, whether they were boys or girls.
Sailor suits used to be very popular with the royals for boys - yes, it was before my time but I like to look at old photos!
Did you know that pink used to be the colour for boys and blue for girls until fairly modern times? It's hard to imagine boys dressed in pink now though.

I cat nap NBY so am wide awake when others are sleeping. No , I didn't know the gender changed colours , the old photos show the dresses twice the length of the child, I wonder why??

You Members amaze me the way you find stuff, when I try it's usually "did you mean".......NO, I didn't
What prompted the switch is unclear, but it had been made by the time Adolf Hitler ordered the classification of homosexuals. Those deemed "curable" were sent to concentration camps and labelled with a pink triangle. This suggests that by then, pink was associated with femininity."
That's interesting , Hitler really was a Monster.
I am a Monarchist and love the Pageantry which brings in the Tourists and think William and Kate are hugely popular so will keep the Monarchy alive.
