Britain needs national debate about banning Muslim girls from wearing veils in public

If you look at the vote result at the end of the article, the majority so far think the veil should be allowed. Why don't we do what France did and ban them ? It's a case of when in Rome do as the Romans do, Brits abroad respect the customs of the Country they live in ? The veil is a very divisive issue ,I'm sure given a choice Muslim Women would not want to wear it, the most enlightened don't , nor do they make their young girls wear it to school.
